I wear almost exclusively Pearl Izumi and I love the quality of this brand. The biggest downfall of P.I. is that they run very small. However, they have started to introduce much larger sizes and I've been able to find product that fits well. The padding on these shorts is enough to make you comfortable but not sure bulky. The material is fairly thick and feels good on the skin while you ride. I didn't have too many issues with the bottom grippers digging into me, but they held in place really well. I recommend this product to intermediate or heavy riders willing to spend $85+ on a pair of biking shorts.

If you’ve ridden any sort of bike with the tiny racing seat, you will know and appreciate these type of shorts. And as far as I am concerned, Pearl Izumi is one of the best brands out there for cycling gear. When you’re sitting on a bike for a long time, your butt is going to get sore. So the addition of shorts like this with the extra padding, makes all the difference in the world. Now, Pearl Izumi is one of the high-end brands that brings a little extra to the cycling world. These shorts not only have the extra padding that you need, but they’re also not going to budge. Once you get these in place, they’re not gonna roll down on the top (these have a great wide waistband) and they’re not gonna roll up on the legs (silicone nubbies). They’re gonna stay where you put them. They’re lightweight, breathable and very stretchy. They’re going to be comfortable while you’re riding and not pinch or dig in or anything like that. I do both inside and outside cycling and the shorts work for both.

Pearl Izumi is my go to for biking attire, but it looks like the sizes had shrank. Small which is my regular size also with this company feels like XS. Returned and ordered a medium size instead.

First off, they are really expensive but I do think you get what you pay for and these are worth considering if you ride regularly.I am surprised that they still don't have a size chart for this specific short. I had to look up another PI brand women's cycling short and use the sizing chart there and these fit according to that chart so I believe that most of their shorts are the same. The chamois is super soft and one pice so there is no chafing anywhere, even after 2hrs in the saddle. I like the mid rise waist which stays comfortably under my jersey. The legs also stayed where they should and didn't creep up over the course of the rides.Overall a fantastic short and a little less expensive than the rest of their line-up so if you are interested in trying out a high-end short without going over that $100 mark then this is a great choice.

I wore these shorts for a century ride and a metric century on back to back weekends. Man, they really did their job.I had normal aches and pains in my wrists, my butt was shockingly comfortable throughout both rides. As you can see, I’m a little bit of a fuller bodied woman coming in at 210 on the day of the race, with an upside down triangle build, so not a lot of padding on my rear compared to my weight. These shorts totally made me comfortable all day long. They are true to size and fit well. I had no rubbing, they stayed up the entire race, they look great and are flattering. And so far they are holding up to a ton of washes.Big fan. These are such a great value for your money. Highly recommend.

These cycling shorts run small. My weight is about 100 pounds and I barely got a medium on. Not only that, they were very uncomfortable in my "female" parts. I would not buy again.

These shorts are made very well and have excellent quality and material. But I guess I should have looked the size guide before ordering them because they were small for me. I may have ordered the wrong size, and because they were too small I returned them.
