works well for what I'm using it for. Wanted a 15 to 16 inch optimount but was out of stock so used a 3 inch and made a few adjustments. used it with a j peg to convert 16 inch floor tom to a bass drum

I own a Pulse 4000 series kit. After putting new heads (Evans 360 series G2) and adding these brackets to my high and mid toms, it completely changed the sound for the better, such a deeper punch. I have a 8, 10, and 12 inch toms mounted to the kick drums. These brackets fit all 3 perfectly. I guess they got their measurements from pearl lol. Great upgrade for non Pearl kits!!

I bought the OptiMount to mount a 12" tom on a vintage Leedy kit that I've been restoring. The tom mounts from the 60s are terrible, so I needed to update this to newer technology without needing to drill new holes into the drum. This mount fit that need perfectly. I am VERY happy with this mount. No tone change, easy to put on, and holds the drum in place without any issues at all. Highly recommended.

IMO this is the best and only way to mount toms, especially Pearls. My Session kit came with them and with the heavy 6 play maple toms have never had a single issue with tuning, bouncing, lug stress whatsoever. I think after you use them for a while you can take them for granted and don't fully understand how sturdy they are until you use another suspension system. I recently purchased a Pearl Birch Vision kit for my wife which came with Pearl's I.S.S. mounting system. To be fair I've never used them, and in the case of the new kit they came right off, and the Optimounts went right on. Even though these are not the aluminum (more expensive and slightly lighter) Masterworks version, I feel they not only work for what they're intended, but they also accent the drum shells without being intrusive. Most drummers buy, skin, and play for sound, but showing off your nice wood shells never hurts. I can't think of a single negative, except that they're not free. :)

I play a Yamaha Recording Custom, and am not a fan of the Yess system, as on heavier toms, the ball mounts do not stay in place. removed the YESS mounts from the drums and attached the OptiMounts and Pearl Tom Arms, and the kit is now rock solid, and resonates beautifully. Just be cautious of measuring the drum. The measurements are for Pearl drums, but since they are positioned where the lugs screw into the lug mounts, different brands may not fit. And they are measured by DEPTH, not head diameter.

Have Spaun drums and the Optimount was easy to install. Use the smaller size so it attaches to the metal portion of the screws and not the rim of your drum. Easy adjustments once installed but you gota remove top and bottom head
