This isn't bad for the price point, but it isn't good either. The assembly instructions need to be rewritten for clarity. The entire machine pulls off the ground and comes at you if you use it on carpet or a floor that the suction cups won't hold onto. I am going to say that there is a 1 in 100 chance of hurting yourself trying to keep this thing upright if the suction cups don't hold. It doesn't fall over. It falls at you. LONGWAYS! If you use the stretch bands... You may end up launching the unit like a slingshot... At yourself. The mechanism for workout level is the same as the 1980 stationary bike. Screw down the tension to make it harder and there is no fine tuning. There is not coordination between the hand pedals and foot pedals unless you can coordinate it yourself. The movement on the hand crank is smooth. The movement on the foot pedals is not smooth. The counter is nice, but... It only works with the hand cranks. If you are just using the pedals, you have no tracking at all. Not a good fit for most people, but affordable. That is the only reason for the 3rd star.

Do not let its compact size fool you! This is a sturdy, well designed piece of exercise equipment. While the written directions were in such a small font that they were hard to read and see the pictures clearly, it was not too hard to figure out the assembly process without them. All the tools that are needed for assembly are included. I like that you can sit and watch TV while working out your arms and legs at the same time. With the simple twist of 2 knobs, you can adjust the difficulty of force needed to pedal with your legs and arms. I have it on hardwood floors, and the suction cups on the bottom kept it from slipping around. It will not damage the wood. The only thing that I had a little trouble with was when using the elastic resistance bands; the front part of the unit wanted to lift off the ground. I was able to place my feet to hold it down, but if you want to pedal and pull at the same time, you may need to place a weight on the front of the frame to help hold it to the floor. It may just have been a problem with the brute strength of my pulls!

First the good:All the parts are labeled clearly in the instruction book for ease of assembly. It's easy to build using the pictographs and some common sense (please see below for more on the instructions). It's easy to use. Particularly for a senior (whom we purchased it for). She seems to enjoy using it and it's good for her.Next, the room for improvement:The instructions are somewhat difficult to understand. They were clearly not written by a native-English speaker nor proof-read by one.Considering its marketed toward Seniors, the print is also tiny. The bike could be a bit more adjustable based on height.Overall, I would recommend it.

This is reasonably easy to assemble. The instructions aren’t great, but if you pay attention, it’s pretty straight forward. As for operation, the digital timer/counter works well, considering it is wireless. It counts revolutions of the hand bike or the foot pedals, but not both at the same time. This has a good range of adjustments, but is better suited for a smaller person. Im 6’2” tall and it’s a little compact, but usable. My wife is smaller and it’s fine for her. It’s designed to stick on a hard surface with suction cups. We have carpet, so it tends to move around a bit. The elastic bands aren’t really functional for us. If it was stuck to a hard floor, maybe it would function properly.I found the tension adjustments to work well on both the pedals and hand bike.I think this is a good way to do exercises when recovering from an injury or surgery, where low impact motion is required.

It's not a terrible pedal bike! I think it has a lot going for it, but there are a few things about it that aren't too great either. Let's break it down!First, construction. Building it actually isn't very difficult, as there are only a handful of large pieces with several bolts, washers, and nuts. However, it's not very intuitive, and none of the pieces are marked; you have to reference the small guidebook it comes with. The guidebook, also, is not very good. The text and illustrations are very small, and the instructions are not very clear. Thankfully, it's not horrible to read, and it reads like English, but building the bike is NOT intuitive.Once you finally get the base assembled, putting the rest together is not that bad.The bike itself is pretty decent! There are several points of adjustment, so you can extend the arms back and forth, and you can extend the length of the bike on the floor as well, which will also lower/raise the pedals--if just a little bit. The pedals and arm cranks both have a tension screw that you can loosen so both are easy to push or tighten quite a bit, giving you a decent resistance workout. There's also a little digital display to give you various stats. Sounds great so far!The resistance bands are also surprisingly nice and offer a great resistance workout, far better than the hand cranks in my opinion. But here is where we get the big glaring issue with the bike: stability. While the pedal bike is made of decently thick metal, with solid welds all around, and sports a decent weight, while you're pedaling and cranking... There's a tendency for the front half to leave the floor. This is doubly an issue if you're deciding to use the resistance bands instead of the crank! It's for this issue that I can't rate the pedal bike very high, or even recommend it (unless you can cop it at a good price). You'll have to find a way to add quite a bit of weight to the front to keep the bike firmly anchored to the floor for a consistently comfortable experience. This is a great alternative to normal spinner bikes if you can't afford one or have a lot of space, but I think you can find better versions of the same machine elsewhere. Again, if you can get it on sale, and have a good way to weight it down? Give it a try! But otherwise, I can't recommend.
