Purchased and installed in November of 2024. January 2025 I have a squeaky bearing. Would not recommend.

Excellent product. Our 10 Old Year old P2000 insert had been working great but all of the sudden it developed a loud fan noise. Did some research and ordered this fan. Super fast 2nd day UPS delivery at no extra charge, that made me happy ! Myself ( middle age female ) and my 18 year son watched a couple of online videos and had the motor changed in under one hour. I was grateful it came with a new gasket, It gave us piece of mind. Stove runs better and motor seem stronger and quieter. Thank you !

The convection (room) fan in my Breckwell Big E failed. I took the original fan apart and the bearings were seized. Rather than replacing the bearings on an old fan, I opted to by a new fan with what is supposed to an improved design. What I received was just like in the pictures so clearly it’s different than the original which is a good thing as this feels like a much better motor.Installation was a breeze but having read the reviews, I had noted some of the things that others ran into when doing the fan swap and was well prepared. It took me less than 5 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. Since these fans are used in various stove models, I did have to rotate the motor base on the fan shroud to clear pellet hopper motor since the motor is offset. This is no big deal and a very simple process. Just remove the 3 phillips head screws where the motor attaches to the blower shroud (see attached photo showing 2 of the 3 screws) and rotate the motor case to a different position and put the screws back in. It’s a 60 second process. One other thing I had to address was the plastic cover on one of the 2 wire connections (see picture). It was a bit too small to allow the wire terminals for one set of wires to plug together so I took a set of wire cutters and made a slit in the protective plastic covering on one of the wires to allow the cover to slip over the one on the stove. You could use a razor blade to do this or even a scissors. No big deal and not surprising since Breckwell likely used a number of suppliers for the male to female plug connectors over the years. So I will give this 5 stars. I can’t blame the vendor or manufacturer for anything I had to do to make this fit my particular model stove and the two things I had to do to prep this motor were brainless. In the end, I am pleased that the vendor shipped it quickly, it took me just a few minutes to install and it solved my problem!

it's hard to tell, since it has only been installed for a few weeks. the most important thing is that it lasts for a long time

This is for Breckwell Pellet Stove Convection Motor Blower A-E-033A.This blower is made by NBK. The description says “Ultra Quiet motor designed by Fasco”. Perhaps that is true. Somehow I read made by Fasco, DUH. I have not installed this motor yet. I always keep one on hand so when the installed one goes out on the coldest day of the year I won’t have to wait 2-3+ days for a replacement. I did wire it to an outlet and it is quiet and seems to put out a lot of are, although I do not know what the CFM is. I was going to return it when I found out it wasn’t made by Fasco, but after turning it on I decided to keep it. I only paid $115.40 which is a steal. Years ago I installed a similar open motor unit and I wasn’t pleased. Lasted only about three years. I guess they don’t make the enclosed motor units anymore but at this price I suppose I can replace it every three years or so. My stove is a 1994 Breckwell P24i.4/29/2020Forget what I said. I ended up returning the unit. I later noticed that the little wheel at the end of the shaft was wobbly and came close to the housing. Too close for my comfort. I'm going to look elsewhere for a genuine Fasco blower.

New blower works perfect in our Big E. It took my husband 15 minutes to install. Our old blower was going out and super loud (had to shut the machine down as it sounded like a jet). What a difference on how quiet this new is...even when we thought our big e was working fine before. We also have more heat blowing out at a greater distance. Seems to be using less pellets now and the machine is much cooler to the touch. Before the outside trim of the hopper door was hot hot! Should have replaced this last winter.

I found this new design Fasco fan to be quieter than the old design Fasco fan. I hoped to save money on the lower power consumption, but have found I have to keep my fan setting on high even on a mid burn rate because the cfm volume on this fan seems lower than the old one. The "squirrel cage" part of the fan is only about 3/4 as wide, but the same diameter. as the old design. The housing is the same, the new fun simply utilizes less of the space inside. I may try swapping squirrel cages with the old one to see how it does. I like how quiet it is, and may still save money on electricity even running it on "high fan" all the time. I would have given it a 5 if it was as powerful as the old one. I got 5 years out of the old one burning 4 to 4.5 tons a year, I hope this one lasts at least as long. Also mine shipped with a new gasket.
