I got this for our kid who’s a few months shy of five years old. I was surprised at how well it fit considering it’s designed for a wide age range (5 to 12).The Knee and shin guards fit perfectly. Note that is for a 5 yr old - and we had the calf Velcro at a pretty open setting which is what you’d expect for a larger kid so I imagine it’ll be tight on older kids and at the very tip of the Velcro. See the picture (worst case scenario just buy Velcro and extend the strap.)The elbow and forearm guards seemed just a pinch long, but certainly not a dealbreaker considering age.For the upper - what could make this worthy of five stars is if it had an ability to cinch the chest and back up closer to the shoulder armor. For a kid this young the neck hole seems a bit large and as a result, the chest & back armor hang lower than ideal. But as you can see in the pictures, it’s not far off. I may well do a hack to this by cutting slits in the front and back of the shoulder armor and then slits in the chest and back armor and add Velcro straps so I can cinch chest and back upwards closer to the shoulders so it fits my kid more ideally. The only other small thing was that it might not be as ergonomically designed as ideal for the chest and back, But that’s just from the look and feel of it from my perspective, but again certainly not a dealbreaker. And if you’ve never owned one of these before, I guess something to be aware of is that the upper body portion is stiff plastic from neck to hips — it is not jointed and thus not designed for the child to be able to bend over and pick something up. So keep that in mind if this is your first purchase of this type.Overall, I was very impressed with how well this fit a kid this young.

I got this for my 5 yr old, and its a little to big for her. she is small for her age, and it should be fine by next year, but as of now, its to big to offer her any real saftey.

We are VERY happy with this safety vest and pad kit! We have 4 kids ranging in age from 7 years old to 20 years old, and this adjustable, hard shell safety vest can be adjusted at the sides to fit all 3 of the younger kids- it works GREAT!All 5 pieces have a layer of super thin padding on the inside, and have a thicker hard shell type outer layer. While I love every piece, I especially love how the knee pads and elbow pads aren't the typical small round pad, these ones here each are the longer type that also protect down the legs and down the arms.My kids are 7 years old and 75lbs, 10 years old about 65lbs, and 13 years old around 80lbs, and this vest and each of the pads can be quickly and easily adjusted to fit each of them securely and perfectly. I had definitely been a little worried that the vest was either going to be too loose on my small thin 10 year old, or end up too tight on the other 2 bigger children. I definitely was not expecting it to fit all of them!We have never bought anything like this before, and I was completely clueless about what size we were going to need. I am so unbelievably happy that we aren't going to have to keep trying them, then returning them, until we can figure out the right size like we have to do pretty often with other fitted products. This product is perfect for our kids needs. we currently don't let the kids on any of our real dirt bikes or atvs -yet- that would require more heavy duty professional type protection, but for right now, for use with all of their kid type electric mini dirtbikes and mini atvs this is absolutely perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Its lightweight, its not bulky or uncomfortable, and the kids don't mind wearing it. It's absolutely perfect for protecting them while they are on their slower, less dangerous "kids" type atvs.**if you are looking for something for your kids to wear on REAL adult sized, adult powered, goes pretty fast and uses gas type toys, I don't know if this would be what your looking for. While it does offer good protection, it IS only one very thin piece of padding encased in a lightweight plastic hard shell. Im not sure what material the more professional heavy duty type stuff is made out of, but this lightweight plastic shell vest definitely does not offer as much protection as the heavy duty, adult type stuff my 20 year old wears when he rides his dirtbikes. This product here is definitely more of a lightweight plastic kids version of protection vs a heavy duty, adult type kind of protection

No longer ago, I picked up this amazing set of affordable dirtbike armor for my son. Well, it probably isn’t as good as some of the namebrand options out there, it does come at a far less expensive price point.I purchased another set in the last year that when I arrived was more like a toy than real armor. This one is actually made really well and has a nice solid platform that acts more like A standard chest roost that you buy for real protection. It also comes with knee and elbow pads. The build quality is pretty top-notch and the straps hold in place without irritating the back of the kneesand inside of the elbows. The armor stays in place pretty well and overall offers a pretty good amount of protection. I’m glad I picked them up.

My son likes to ride his motor bike and dirt bike and I wanted him to be safe and secured. This gear helps protect him in all aspects. The shell is very hard. The design is perfect. You can tell it was made with good quality. The sizing is a bit off. I got this for my 10-year-old and it is a bit small. He is of standard size. I think this gear would better be suited for someone who is 8-years-old instead. It was easy to put on and he had no issues adjusting it, though.

This setup looks as good as my adult Fox Armor. Everything looks to be well made and should last longer than it will fit your kid. There is some adjustablility but the size is not really one size fits all. It lists as fitting ages 5-12 and this is a stretch. Most likely too big for a 5 year old and too small for a 12 year old. Your mileage may vary.Your kid will think this stuff looks cool enough that it will actually get worn instead of sitting in the closet. Great for skateboarding, cycling, moto, or just plain doing stupid things that kids do.

This is a great set. Made my kid feel like a real motocross racer on his new bike. Easy to put on and take off and holds up great.
