I've used the Pendaflex brand for over 20 years. The price has gone up, but what hasn't? I've tried using 'cheaper' versions, but nothing works as well as having that giant elastic cord to keep it together when traveling. The material is also durable, and sturdy. Others simply fail to live up to my expectations. Plus, I think they are the most professional looking form of portable document transportation. When I roll in with this under one arm and a briefcase in the other, I think it just looks better than some scrappy multi-colored velcro affair that better belongs in an elementary school than in an office. I've yet to have one fail by ripping or tearing, and have a couple that are over 10 years old that regularly travel still.

I really only use these to store documents in my file cabinet. So, the fact that they are thin is not a concern, because I don't carry them about. Great value though. They are waaaaaay less expensive than the others I see on Amazon. When I run out, I'll buy them again.

They're kind of cheap and although that's the reason we bought them was that they were inexpensive A couple of them have already torn or come apart. Note to self: order some tape to put them back together.
