They are OK, a tad flimsy, barely long enough for 8 x11.5 paper. Not very durable . If you're going to use them to put in a file cabinet without too much handling, they're perfect. If you want them for everyday use, not sure if they will hold up.I like the colors.

Very difficult to get the edge to fold open. Paper is thin. Ended up getting something better.

The ends of each of these folders must be folded into a very narrow v-shape. The material these are made of is thick and extremly resistant to folding. Once you manage to fold the ends you’ll find that the back of the folder is slightly wider than than the front, resulting in a bowed folder that will not fit smoothly in the file drawer. I surredered to the inferior product and threw them all in the trash. Unless you enjoy frustration and disappointment with your purchases, AVOID BUYING THIS ONE,

Cooking is my favorite thing. I'm old, and I own and have read probably 500 cookbooks (thank you, public library for so many)! I've always photocopied the recipes I fancy, and then I file them in folders under the appropriate ingredient or concept because I'll never remember that Deborah Madison has a killer recipe for cauliflower in one of her many cookbooks that I own; however, by filing a recipe I want to try under "Cauliflower" (shares a file with "Broccoli"), I know just where to look when I bring home gorgeous cauliflowers from the Farmers' Market. I've got a folder for "Eggplant," for "Gnocchi," at least 3 for Pastry ("Dough," "Savory," and "Sweet"; "Vegetarian Lasagnas," "Cheese"), and on and on....you get the picture. The photo shows about 4 dozen folders that I've been nurturing for decades. So many were barely strapped together with clear packing tape that I finally said, "Enough!" and "splurged" on new folders. I love these! They comfortably hold both small and bulging files. No more tape, and therefore provide plenty of tape-free room for me to write on the folder. For example, written on my "Hors d'oeuvres," folder is "See also ....." shrimp, cheese (fondue)," etc. I love maintaining my recipe files, and cleaning them up with the new folders makes me happy.

Great pocket folders for the money - I have been looking for awhile now, because I really did not want to spend an arm and a leg to separate and file mail and medical paperwork for the household. There are only four colors in my package not five as shown, but not a big deal for us. They are mailed flat and you need to fold in the creases to make them more boxed shaped otherwise they will stay like a big open ended envelope. Files are nice and heavy-weighted. I do think with my family's abuse that over time I will have to reinforce the seams, this will be the weakest link. LOLI would recommend for any family needing to just sort everyday paperwork, keeps it nice and neatly in place.

While 150 sheets may sound like a lot, these are actually smaller than other folder pockets I have. For me, they fill a niche between an ordinary file folder and a large fat mega pocket. If you have a lot of items, or a lot of smaller pieces, a normal file folder is going to get overstuffed or spill out smaller items. This is very handy for that.I did find in several cases these files were not large enough and I needed to use some of the fatter folders. The colors are appealing--they look even nicer in person than in the pic--an the quality of the cardboard is good. It is sturdy but not too rigid. I did overstuff a little and it bent to accommodate. ;-)

The colors are distinguished; the interior, however, is manila in color. The stock is flimsy, but really that doesn't matter in a jacket; they won't tear easily. What does matter: how well the jacket is constructed. You want a jacket to stay CLOSED. These do. Photo in Amazon well depicts the actual product; you cannot put another file folder inside a jacket this narrow. Select a larger expansion if you wish to insert file folders, at least 1.5".I use jackets like this for my client reports. The report is usually a Duo-Tang or other dual-pocket presentation folder (paper, not lint-attracting plastic); this jacket is its.. well, 'jacket'. So the presentation folder goes inside. Ships well. Clients like to re-use the material.More about colors: some like that matte, wedgewood blue. The other colors are richer, with nice sheen, but not shiny. The product would get five stars if the interior were also the same color as the outside, but that's expensive. Upshot? Worth buying.
