- Adjust the grind setting with a turn of the knob: clockwise for a finer grind and counterclockwise for a coarser grind.
Stainless steel grinder
- The most important part of the spice mill is the grinder.
- Stainless steel grinder is very robust and offer a long shelf life.
- Grinding salt is a slightly different situation than grinding pepper, as salt is not as compatible with metal. If you are planning to grind salt, a ceramic mechanism is likely to work out better than a metal mechanism
- Unscrew the nut on the top.
- Open the round wooden cover and pour in peppercorns or sea salt or other seasonings.
- Close the cover, and screw the top nut.
- For a fine grind, turn the nut clockwise.
- For a coarser grind, turn the nut counterclockwise.
- Turn the cover clockwise, and seasonings will come out from the bottom.
Tips
1. The pepper grinder can’t be washed in water or dishwasher because the grinder would be damaged. Please wipe the grinder with a clean, damp cloth. DO NOT submerge.
2. There would be some residues around the grinder if you mill high oil spices often. In order to get rid of them, grind some coarse salt or dry rice grains to make the residues mixed in the grinder. After a few times, the residue mixture would be excreted from the grinder and the spice mill would operate properly again.
3. The spice mill is not a hermetically sealed container to store spices. So the taste and quality of the spices could be deteriorated after long-time storage. Thus, please DO NOT fill the spice mill in full if you don't use it often.
4. Please DO NOT twist the spice mill if there’s no spice in it. It will damage the grinder.
5. Please DO NOT screw down the nut too tight. The spice mill can’t be milled if the nut is fully tightened. The grinder could be damaged because of that.

Went for the bigger size thinking it would hold more but it's mostly for show and narrow design. The inside is also more shallow. Still very lovely piece, nice quality material and grinds well.

im a pepper head and put pepper on everything and lots of it. this replaced a commercial pepper grinder that I used for about 20 years. This one is even better and was way cheaper. And the acacia natural wood is very pleasing to look at

Edit: peppercorns that we used were too big, when we used smaller peppercorns it works great. I think the “neck” is a bit too small.Pepper grinder is not grinding as well. I have had many pepper grinders. This is way more gentle if that makes sense, it grinds powder like no matter how you turn, and only so little comes out, I’m really unhappy with pepper grinder
