great value great fittings, there are two issues I noticed with these latches, number one you will need a large pipe wrench to fit and release the plastic retaining nuts. The second being that they actually come with several different types or shapes of the retainer (the part on the inside which turns and holds the hatch down) the standard type will work with many hatches but not all, check what you have before you buy.

Bought this to replace my handle on my ski locker. Easy in, plastic jam nut on the bottom to tighten. Perfect fit.

I replaced the crummy latches that came stock on my Carolina Skiff with these, and they are very nice. I have been boating and working on boats for longer than I would like to admit, and have I yet to buy a product made by Perko that wasn't high quality.

I really like it. It's high quality and does the job. I have two small 'opportunities'1. The part is set on by a huge plastic nut. It's bigger than any tool I've got, including a pipe wrench. Would be nice to provide a cheap wrench for it.2. They are all keyed the same. So every boat in the marina has a key to mine. I think the intent is to be 'modestly' secure and it does that, but it would be cool to have a few different keys and lower the odds.
