Used for putting together a furnace burner, figuring it would get too hot for Teflon tape. Haven't had any issues so far. I'm planning to use it for other pipes that will be subject to high temps.

The exhaust on my Acura MDX developed a small leak at a joint. Sounds awful. I'm not putting any more money into the car, so this was my solution. Follow the instructions and it works well. Works for about 4-6 months. I'm on my 3rd application now.

IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THIS PRODUCT EXISTS. IF YOU NEED A QUICK FIX FOR SOME UNEXPECTEDREASON, THIS PRODUCT CAN DO THE JOB HANDILY UNTIL YOU CAN GET IT DONE ON A LONG TERM QUALITATIVE BASIS.

I used this to seal the pipe around an inner to outer pipe reducer/connector to repair an exhaust pipe that broke off a few inches past a flange. A couple of u-bolt exhaust pipe clamps, a layer of this on the connecting services of the pipe, along with the outer/inner pipe connector. 30-40 min and it holds pressure again. No leak. It dries very quickly, forms a strong seal, and hasn't let go for months now. It's a great value in my opinion a and will continue to use

seems like a hit or miss with how other people get this stuff to work but it worked for me. 1/3 bolts broke on my catalytic converter so I used this to seal the flange and no leak or blow outs even at 7k rpm this dries like cement but is not hard to clean if it needs to be resealed. I sealed a flange right before an o2 sensor no check engine light but it does smoke and smell a little but when it heats up for the first time but after a few miles its gone.

I'ma cheap DIY mechanic when it comes to car repairs. I used to just install a heavy steel soup can with large hose clamps and maybe some exhaust wrap whenever my exhaust gets loud. Living in the rust belt, this is a yearly task. I purchased 4 tubes of this stuff and it works great so far! It goes on like paste, but hardens after a half hour or so. Then you simply bake it on by doing a few laps on the expressway (Get your exhaust nice an hot to fully cure this stuff). No rattles from scrap metal and this will seal large cracks and small holes. I have repaired holes in mufflers, flange cracks, and large holes in resonators with this stuff. If you take your time and apply a nice thick layer + a layer of exhaust wrap on top, you can save hundreds on exhaust repair. It holds up great, but the compound will eventually crack from vibrations and movement from the exhaust system. Highly recommend if you need a quick fix to quiet your ride down for peace and quiet when you drive. Obviously it is not a permanent fix, but if you do your own service/repair, this is a great product to have around...like JB-weld or gorilla glue... but for extreme temps!
