It was exceptionally easy to put together and it's sturdy with a fifth leg to keep from sagging in the center. I covered the cushion that it does come with because this is easier for me to clean. The cushion is nice. It is not as thick as others, but world for my girls. There are "arm rests" which you may notice as bumps, left and right in the pic. I wanted to clean floors and not have to move cat beds. If you're like me, you have cat beds in the bedroom, living room, and other locations. I have two cats. Currently they choose to sleep in either the cat tree, or this bed. It is much easier than moving cat beds around to clean the floor as I can swiffer underneath this bed. They really don't like to sleep next to each other. The smaller bed works to keep both cats off the floor. This is the perfect bed. Eventually, I will try removing the small bed, to find if they'll actually sleep with each other. If you can, find space for this bed. It is more appealing as another piece of furniture.

Love this bed, both my toy poodle and Yorkie can sleep on the bed at the same time. Is is so cute.

This seemed like a nice bed. I started taking it out of the box and just realized it was too big for our dog and our bedroom so I returned it. Should have paid closer attention to the measurements. Measurements are accurate.
