My Belgian malinois has been shedding a lot, so thought this glove would be good!I assume she feels that it’s like I’m petting her with rougher hands, and she’s ok with me using it on her, but trying to combine this with a bath isn’t ideal.It is not water resistant so if you use it in the tub your hands will also get soaked. But that also means it’s has breathing room so on hot days your hand won’t be sweaty.The glove is fairly large, so lots of loose space but one size should be able to fit most. Cleaning the fur from the glove came out decently but adding comb definitely helps.

I have used a product similar to this in the past which was more of a mitten, and these are a lot easier to use because they are in glove format. Being able to move your fingers precisely helps reduce the amount of flyaway fur when grooming. The only downside is that my cats still were not happy about being brushed out. These gloves probably won't change how you pet feels about getting groomed, but they can help reduce the amount of fur that is loosely laying around.

My dog has a fluffy, double coat. I brush or comb him daily but, even so, there are times where I want to give him a quick touch up in between. Sometimes, though, he’s just not in the mood to let me brush or comb him. On those occasions, I’ve found that he’s fine with a grooming glove because the nubs are short enough that he probably just feels like he’s being petted. When it’s bath time, I also find that grooming gloves make a huge difference in how quickly and completely we can get his thick fur cleaned. These grooming gloves do the job, but they have a few shortcomings.These grooming gloves come as a pair (I’ve ordered some brands that only send a single glove) and feature nubs on the palm that are just shy of an ⅛” long. The nubs have some give to them, so they will likely feel soft to your pet. The wrist of the gloves is made from an elastic cuff with a section of hook-and-loop closure to allow some adjustment for wrist size. More on that in a moment. As seen in my photo, the rest of the glove is made from a thin, synthetic mesh material with a finer mesh interior backing that is going to be the weak point of this glove’s construction. I’ve had a grooming glove made from similar material that began to fall apart after the second or third use. These survived one use with no tears or fraying, but I don’t really expect these to last more than a few uses. Don’t let your pet play with these; they’ll be destroyed quickly.The sizing is problematic, as well. I have relatively small hands and wrists and these gloves are about as small as I can fit into. The fingers are almost comically short and they’re only passable because you don’t really need to flex your fingers much to use them as grooming gloves. But the hand size overall is short and somewhat narrow, so I’d say these will only fit small or medium hands. On my relatively small wrists, the gloves' hook-and-loop closure is about 3/4 open; folks with larger wrists may have to leave the cuffs open.In the end, these gloves are okay for what they’re intended for, if you can fit into them and the price is right. Just don’t expect really great construction, durability or fit.
