Our dog refuses to use it actually. Too steep. Gap between top ramp and bed/sofa allows your pet's leg to slip through the gap making it dangerous.. Not height adjustable. Rounded ends are not padded so you'll scratch your furniture if you butt it up against it. Good idea but execution leaves a lot to be desired.

The first thing I noticed about the ramp was when I opened the box two loose nuts fell out (see attached pics). Next I looked through the instructions and it says the locking pins should pop back up when the legs are fully extended. That's a problem because there is no way for the legs to fully extend before they smack into the back bracing piece. At first I though the raised side pieces in one of the pictures I attached might be part of the packaging, but no, they're wood and tightly affixed with no screw head visible to remove them. This means that if my dog were to try and use the ramp it would collapse with my dog near the top of it. Most companies will include a note or someway of contacting customer service, but there's no contact information available on the instructions or their PetMaker product page, so I will be going through the hassle of returning this and recommend others don't waste their money or time on this poorly built unsafe product.

I didn’t want to give a bad review because the product was good quality and all, it just wasn’t right for my dog. I didn’t pay attention to the height from the floor to get onto the ramp. Because it requires a small jump, my dog could do it. One thing though, it’s not slip resistance. I helped my dog get on it but he slid right down and could not regain traction to go up any further. It is a velvety, smooth carpet type so beware of that.

It’s an amazing quality, but unfortunately not for the small dog, because there’s big gap between bed or sofa, and it’s not adjustable, so they must to jump, if you’re ordering this item for disable pet then it’s not recommended

These stairs look great and are solid, however they aren’t useful at all. The angle of the stairs is very steep and the fabric is very slippery. We bought them for our 10lbs chihuahua however he couldn’t use them. He couldn’t get enough grip to go up the incline. We ended up buying foam stairs which were much more practical.

I have two of these ramps now. They look great and have a nice finish. Yes, the upholstery is a microfiber material and it took a coupe of tries for my dog to get used to that slightly slippery feel. I put a towel over the ramp to give him a little more friction until he was comfortable enough to go up and down without a towel in place. They are easy enough to fold and carry throughout the house. They are the perfect height for my sofa and a bed that does not have a really tall frame. Overall, very pleased.

This is very nice looking and the neutral tones would compliment a lot of interiors (unlike other affordable options), but I think the ramp itself is a little too steep for our older, long-bodied/short-legged, and slightly thicc dog. We’re still working with him but he’s only used it when we’ve thrown a favorite toy over it to the couch for him to chase so he’s had a running start. He’s older so who knows how much longer he’ll be able to do the running start. If this is just for a very small dog who can’t reach the couch or that shouldn’t jump high like a dachshund, I’m sure it would be fine, but that incline is definitely something to consider. This is very sturdy when locked in place, but notice in the photos that there is a gap between the ramp and the furniture, this has actually not been a problem for us but may be for another pet.It is definitely too short for most beds, but the exact height of our couch.

Our little 5 lb Pomchi uses it to go up and down to get on the bed. It is very sturdy, we had to put a non slip mat under it, as we have laminate flooring. There is a gap at the top between the frame and the fabric ramp, for most dogs would be no problem but because our dog is so little, she could almost fall thru it, so we used a small pillow and stuffed it in and then under our mattress, and it works perfectly. She even sometimes just sleeps on that pillow at the top. The fabric looks and feels great, but it is almost to smooth, she has to use speed to get up and is cautious coming down, but she is only 5 months old and will get used to it. But over all it looks excellent, well manufactured and suits the purpose we purchased it for.

This item is ok. My dog can climb up it but finds it difficult to get up on the ramp and the material on it makes him slide backwards. He is a 10 lb dog.

Pros: Attractive real wood in a rich chocolate color, light and easy to maneuver. Dogs easily climb and descend. Takes up little space. Inexpensive. I found that ramps run higher in price than stairs.Cons: Fabric is suede like and smooth. No grip at all. It takes up little space because it is so steep (a problem for dogs who move slow). Ramp slips on hardwood floor. There is a 3" gap between top of ramp and my bed. Doesn't bother my dogs, but I can see this being a problem for some.Ramps are easier on joints than stairs. My two chihuahuas live in my bed and I wanted to alleviate joint stress from them jumping up and down.Gizmo has a luxating patella (knee cap that moves in and out if place.) It's a condition that worsens over time. Although Gizmo and Rocket are both in good health otherwise, I wanted a preventive measure to ease their joint stress. They both accepted the ramp quickly. I trained with treats. For them to navigate successfully they must quickly climb and descend by running. I was concerned about them hitting the floor too hard when descending so I purchased a cushioned mat. The kind of mat used for people who stand along time to avoid fatigue. It grips the floor well and gives them a soft landing. It also works to keep the ramp from slipping. I bought on Amazon for $27. A worthwhile purchase to use in conjunction with this ramp on floors other than carpet.I would say this ramp is best used as a preventative measure against joint stress. Best for medium to small, agile dogs.Although this has been a good solution for my dogs I gave it three stars for the cons I listed. Unfortunately, this won't work for many dogs.
