If you aren't careful, as you're filling, the contents could be pouring out the bottom. YOu have to hold the moving part of the grinder mechanism in place or it's essentially just a poorly functioning funnel.

High quality pepper mill and salt grinder. They provide an easy solution to fresh ground pepper at the table. We don’t use them often because my food is already perfectly seasoned! My only negative feedback is this particular set is a little small. Nothing against the manufacturer, but if I did it again I would go one size larger.

I have a large wooden pepper grinder for cooking. I was very happy to find a good table sized version by Peugeot as I already have one of their Nutmeg grinders and have been very pleased.

I knew that these were going to be small when I ordered them, but they still seemed surprisingly small. More like salt and pepper shaker sized rather than a grinder. Still, they are beautiful and work perfectly.Wood construction, very nicely turned on a lathe. The knob on top shows their logo and a S or P. The internals are specific for either salt or pepper. Many color options available. I ordered the Red/Ivory color combination and love the off white/ivory and not too bright red colors.These really are small grinders. Works well for one or two persons, but likely would run empty if you used these for a large dinner party. Still, I am very happy to own such quality pieces that should last a lifetime with reasonable care. I certainly can wholeheartedly recommend this Peugeot Bistro Salt and Pepper Mill Set.
