Lined the pipes with insulation and put the cover over the entire device. Tightened the stings and was completed protected from the weather. (BTW PF, your sting snaps-or whatever you call them- are easily lost if you don't secure them immediately; which is why I had to use a clip to secure one of the lines)

My well has an additional filter making it tricky to insulate. I briefly used spare insulation but it got soggy in heavy rains. This XL cover was a tight fit but it did fit. It was easy to install. I haven't experienced extremely low temps yet so I didn't go 5 stars on warmth or durability but so far, so good.
