My Price Pfister kitchen faucet with side sprayer had started producing only a small, pencil-size amount of water. Determined that it was most likely a failing diverter. Watched video on YouTube titled "Price Pfister kitchen faucet - Issues with sprayer diverter and water flow" by Adriano Valeri which showed how to remove and replace the diverter from topside. The most difficult part was removing the faucet from the base as the threads had become corroded. Once the diverter was replaced, water flow from both hot and cold sides resumed normal water flow. Unsure about durability, but should be long-lasting.

If you have an older Price Pfister 36 Series Treviso Faucet which looks just like the newer Pfister 36 Series Treviso, you need a different part, 974-002. That part is available at Amazon, but not with Prime shipping. Apparently when Price Pfister was sold, and changed name to Pfister, this internal part was re-designed.

My used faucet sat for a month or three while I renovated my kitchen. The original valve got gummed up with calcium and the faucet no longer worked. This replacement part was exactly what was needed to fix the faucet and now it works like new.

I bought this to replace the diverter in my kitchen sink faucet so that the sprayer would function more powerfully. It was easy to install. I only used the diverter piece (the round piece). I got it installed and my sprayer has full power once again! I had looked at all of the local hardware stores. Home Depot, Menards, etc.. No one had this piece.

The product description says this is compatible with 34-series Pfister faucets, yet after disassembling my 36-series (Pfister Glenfield), the diverter looked exactly like the one pictured. I was unable to find a 36-series diverter, so I ordered this and hopedit would work, and it is the same part, same dimensions, and works fine. That said, I can't speak for all 36-series -- perhaps the Pfister Glenfield is an odd ball.I was replacing mine becuase the side spray would not turn off, so I had taken it apart and removed the old diverter to clean it, and upon re-assembly it worked but with very low pressure/volume. I cleaned it in vinegar, which probably made the valve too stiff.Comes with the tools you need to unscrew/screw the retaining nut, and to push the old one out. After installing this, everything is basck to normal. It will take about 15 minutes to do the entire repair. I suppose it would be possible to replace this without entirely removing the faucet assembly, but I would recommend complete removal. You will need to remove the faucet tube, which should unscrew easily. Hopefully it wasn't assembled over tightened. If so, you may need to put a plier on it. Wrap the base of the tube with a shop cloth, to protect the finish, and clamp your pliers over that. Hopefully you will get it loose wihtout leaving teeth marks.
