I recently got a direct fit catalytic converter hoping for an easy swap, and for the most part, it delivered.Right out of the box, it looked well-made and has solid welds, a decent weight, and the flanges lined up exactly as they should. No weird bends or misalignments, which is always a relief when you’re dealing with exhaust components.Installation was straightforward. Since it’s a direct fit, I didn’t have to do any cutting or welding. You just unbolt the old one and bolt this in. That being said, if your old cat is rusted in place, which is common, be prepared to wrestle with some stubborn bolts. A little WD40 and an impact wrench made my life easier.Performance-wise, it does what it’s supposed to. No check engine lights, no odd smells, and the car is running more smoothly than before. The price was way better than an OEM replacement, and if it holds up over time, it’ll be a solid buy.One thing to note. You need to make sure to check your state’s emissions regulations before ordering. Some places have strict rules, and not all aftermarket cats are compliant. Other than that, no complaints so far.If you need a reliable, budget-friendly option to get your car passing emissions again, this is worth considering.

This converter fits and installs easily, and is considerably cheaper than OEM models. It gets the job done, satisfying your vehicle's self-diagnostic systems and reducing pollution.Like many/most aftermarket converters, this one is not California CARB certified, and it may not pass a California smog test where they actually analyze the emissions gases. In states that only do OBD-II based emissions tests, it'll do just fine.

I installed the PHILTOP Front Right Catalytic Converter on my 2011-2019 Dodge Journey 3.6L AWD, and so far, it appears to be working as expected. The direct-fit design made installation straightforward, and it lined up well with the existing exhaust system.Build Quality & Fit • Stainless steel construction feels durable and well-made. • Perfect fit—bolted right into place without any major modifications. • Comes with gaskets to help with a secure and leak-free installation.Performance • No CEL (Check Engine Light) issues so far, which is a good sign. • Exhaust flow seems smooth, and there’s no noticeable drop in performance. • EPA compliant, making it a solid choice for emissions requirements.Final ThoughtsWhile it’s still early, this catalytic converter appears to be a solid replacement for the factory part. If it holds up long-term, it will be a great value compared to OEM options. So far, so good!

Okay where do i begin? First off the gasket fit amazingly! The cat fits good as of this moment. The problem comes into play when go to bolt the exhaust up and if you say you gave me the proper bolts you didn’t! Am not sure what these were for but even they were too big fit the holes! … the exhaust holes 🕳️ are wayyyy bigger than the holes they drilled into this car. So I get find needles in haystacks just see what bolt will fit! Not cool man. Just wanted this be a simple bolt up. I posted pictures of new cat and old cat with exhaust bolts bolting right up to old cat.

I never thought in a million YEARS that this catalytic converter was going to actually work- for a week my hubby laughed at me for trying to order car parts off amazon. I'm the one laughing now though! It actually works, it actually fits, it actually works! I definitely thought we were going to get this and SOMETHING would go wrong- where I ordered the wrong size, or the wrong brand, or the wrong model, but omg it actually works. My dad owns his own car repair shop, and for my entire 42 years of life what he does as a side hustle is he purchases pretty wrecked up cars for cheap from the local police auctions, impound lots, and in more recent years off the internet. The cars sit around at his shop and as he gets parts here and there and he slowly fixes them in his spare time and eventually sells them when they are done.So My hudbandt of 15 years also helps and currently has his own collection of cars in our barn at home that he too works on here and there just like my dad. anytime we see car parts to the curb, or for free on the internet, anytime we see random usable car parts anywhere we always scoop them up and can almost always put them to use. Me myself though, I know nothing about cars and everyone was definitely laughing at me over me ordering this catalytic converter off amazon for one of the 4 cars my hubby currently has in our barn.Well- it works!! I didn't see how they thought I could possibly screw it up when this company makes it so easy and simple! At checkout you literally just look for the year, make, and model for the car you need this for, and you just pick the one that's made for that car! Not only am I very happy with the product itself, I'm extremely happy to prove my dad and my hubby wrong- that you CAN order car parts off amazon!
