I can finally give my old exakta lenses collection a new life! My two Exakta Varex IIa have tiny pinholes on the curtains and their shutter speed are not so accurate after all these years, so I’ve had them for a long time collecting dust. I own a exakta to nikon f adapter but because of the focal flange distance it needs a correction glass in order to be able to focus to infinity, which affects the quality and sharpness drastically. I couldn’t really get decent results with them, couldn’t really use them on important stuff. With this one whatsoever the results are stunning, I can really give my Carl Zeiss Jena lenses a new purpose by pairing them with this adapter to my mirrorless Nikon. Can’t wait to try them all and transfer some of their unique character to my next projects.I would definitely recommend them to someone with older lenses to try them out, i was afraid that the mount to the camera and the lens could have some play but for my surprise it fits right as it should, has a solid build and mist importantly does what it’s supposed to.

This is a cheap adapter. It's fine, I guess. The lens and camera mount well and feel secure. But, if you're using an M-mount lens and you want the focusing scale to be correct (say, for zone focusing) and/or you want it to focus properly at infinity, this is not the adapter you're looking for.

No complaints with this manual Nikon F to Nikon Z adapter. It lets me use all my legacy Nikon glass with their mirrorless cameras like the Nikon Z9. Nikon makes their own FTZ2 adapter for $247 which is a far cry from Pholsy's $32 adapter.Of course this Pholsy adapter is completely manual, unlike Nikon's which transfers some electronic information to the camera about the lens settings. But is it worth $215 more? That's a question only you can answer. My oldest Nikon lenses from the early 1980s don't have any electrical contacts in them anyway - making this $32 Pholsy adapter a great choice and a great deal.
