The light stand specifically is so big and strong and pretty! Very professional and high quality/expensive looking and a far cry above my other Amaz Basics $20 light stands! This thing is almost two big though because it doesn't fit in my giant rolling toolbox that I take to events, it's just too long. It is a big heavier than other light stands that are much smaller, but also, much more sturdy and I feel 1000 times better about putting my more expensive lights on this sturdy beast. Easily 5 stars all day!

I can't tell you how annoying it is to try and clip a reflector up, only to accidentally nudge it and send it flying. I don't know why I didn't get one of these earlier. As the stand only needs to hold a light reflector, they're not very heavy duty, but they do the job well. As does the clip that reassuringly keeps the reflector in place. Should have got one of these ages ago.

In comparing this light stand to a professional photo studio stand, there really is no comparison because of how light duty this stand is. It does have aluminum legs but all of the hardware and joints are plastic and I really wouldn't trust the stand with very much.Yes, it will be fine to hold a reflector or small light if you're using it indoors where they're's no wind but it's not a suitable stand for use outdoors in any kind of wind or for holding anything heavy. I would not trust it to hold a backdrop unless it was a quite small backdrop used only for head shots. The clip on the top is also light duty but it performs fine in holding onto a reflector or piece of foam core. One inaccuracy to note about the clip is that the thumbscrew is plastic and not aluminum as the Amazon photo shows.

So I got this in hopes of being a dual purpose stand. Yes, I know it's cheap but I needed lightweight, compact, and easy to move for mobile headshots. I intended to use this for a popout backdrop stand most of the time but a reflector stand when needed. The clip is decent and will hold a reflector... it will not hold a backdrop very well since they are quite a bit heavier than a reflector disk. It does o.k. with the reflector disk but I would advise to keep some weight with you to weigh the legs. The legs aren't really wide enough to overcome the weight of the reflector and will cause the tripod to tip. If you're using this outside, i wouldn't use it without weight for the tripod and an extra clamp to keep the disk in place. I found this out the hard way as a slight breeze came along, caught the reflector like a sail (as expected, duh), and sent the whole setup sailing... no damage and did some quick, make-shift adjustments to finish the shoot. Not a bad product, just remember that you're getting what you pay for.

I have a several similar light weight stands and they are both way better than this one. I think you can do much better, especially for the price.First off, I think that there are some metal burs inside the tubes because when I extend/retract the stand I need to really unscrew the knobs to get it to move and there is still a scratching/grinding sound when they are moving in or out. This makes the stand really slow to set up.I also really dislike the screw type method for setting the height vs the simpler flip lock that you can see in the other stand in the pictures. This is for two reasons, first the knobs are bulky and get caught on everything when trying to store or put into a bag, and second they take longer to set up.This stand is just about as strong as all the others that I have. I would trust it to hold a reflector or a small light like a speedlight or a godox AD100 but really nothing more than that. This stand is much taller than my others by about 2' but beware of using at that height because the base is pretty narrow and will tip over easy. This will be especially true if you use a pop up background, these are quite heavy for this little stand.Bottom line, this will do the job if you are careful with it but for the money I think there are much better options out there.

This is a basic reflector holder that comes in handy for holding reflectors and small pop-up backdrops. The kit comes with a light stand and a holder clip.Let me emphasize that this stand should only be used for reflectors or small pop-up backdrops. I have a 3X5ft pop-up backdrop and even that is too big for this light stand without the use of a few sandbags. The clip is very easy to use but best for reflectors and being set in stationary positions as it does not rotate. Would not recommend using outdoors on a windy day and without an assistant.Would be a nice addition to any studio if not used for anything heavy-duty.

This is a basic reflector holder that comes in handy for holding reflectors and small pop up backdrops. The kit comes with a light stand and a holder clip.Included light stand is light duty stand. I tried mounting 5x7 backdrop but it didn’t feel secure enough without the use of sand bags. I used smaller reflectors and those worked fine. The holder clip is designed to pinch and securely hold the metal frame of the pop up reflectors and/or background so if your reflector doesn’t have a flat metal, it may not be able to hold it securely. Overall, it’s great for holding reflectors but you can’t adjust angles as the holder clip doesn’t rotate. For stationary use, it’ll work well but if you’re looking for other angle adjustments besides the height, this may not work for you.
