I love these they smell so good, almost like a fore pit and keep bugs away, win win. If you don't want to use the whole thing it is a bit hard to put out, I find that submerging ot in dirt or sand works best, and then you can save the rest of the stick for the next outdoor outing/ activity

These work very well to keep the mosquitoes away, and I'm a mosquito magnet! Most products don't work for me but these do. I used them all summer. But they do burn you if you're not paying attention! I stick them in my basket when I'm gardening or hiking/looking for mushrooms and I've been burned several times on my arms and once on the bottom of my foot. Hurts like hell and I have still have scars. I will buy again because I hate mosquitoes more than being burned, but dang.

They worked great, just took the whole pack to protect me on my small patio. They burned up fast and left large ash piles so if you have a wood deck, keep an eye on hot ashes.

I bought these to use in backyard while dining. Following the instructions, I tried to light them using a regular BIC lighter and didn't have much success. I saw burn marks, but according to the instructions, I was supposed to see a flame, then invert the stick to let it burn more, then blow out the flame to use.I got tired of using my regular BIC lighter and instead got a long lighter made for lighting charcoal and other things. I eventually got the stick to hold a flame for a few seconds but it blew out quickly. I gave up on getting it to flame as I needed to seat my guests.I stuck the stick in a flower pot and it burned successfully! No mosquito bites thus far. At first, I had this stick burning and a citronella candle burning because the citronella candle said it would keep other flying insects away and the stick didn't. The smell was too strong so I blew out the citronella candle and left the stick burning. It doesn't have a smell that makes me sick and keeps mosquitoes away. You can't go wrong.
