Much more convenient to use than a yellow pencil, carpenter's pencil, or a standard Pentel 0.5 or 0.7 mm pencil. Its sturdy holster makes it easy to fetch and replace without stabbing yourself and the chunky body makes it easy to hold when wearing light gloves.The finer lead at 0.9 mm, than the "big" version makes it handy for woodworking, where tolerances tend to be tight, though it is sturdy and less likely to break than the finer leads.
