Rugged, sturdy and well made. Fit my floor jack well and lifted my SUV without any damage to the vehicle or the jack pad.

This is a very useful addition to your hydraulic floor jack. It is large enough to carry a good part of the jack point so there is less chance for damaging the seam. The pad is 4" and fits inside the jack pad without much move to move around. I like the dual depth ridges to accommodate all the different seams. It is a hard silicone mold so it's not going to crush down. An excellent value for a very important improvement to your floor jack.

The puck fits inside my 2.5 ton low profile racing jacks head. It also looks like it has a round depression to handle smaller jack heads. Ive used the rubber pinch weld pucks previously, so I know the design works well and agree that "silicone" is probably a more robust material for this. However I suspect its a dense urethane, like a bushing material. Either way it seems dense and, I suspect, will hold up better than the, not so dense, rubber. Along with jacking from the pinch weld. The puck does double duty as a solid puck. In case youre jacking from a different position and want a little more stand off from the metal jack head, or something a little softer and forgiving than the potential for metal on metal contact.

This rubber pad for your jack is perfect when using it lifting your car. It's hard enough yet to soft enough to not damage your little channel. I think the seller describes it as 3-in but that's not true because it's a 4-in diameter and a 2 in height

First of all, I'm a shade tree mechanic from way back. 63 years old and seems like I always do things the hard way (not really, just seems that way). My go to jack has a small rubber disc on it that barely sticks up above the metal cup. When lifting a heavy vehicle, like my Dodge 2500 or 3500, it always crushes and is metal to metal. So I wind up sticking in a block of wood to prevent this. I also always worry about damaging the wife's Subaru when lifting it. This thicker pad has really done the trick. It is thick enough and strong enough to not crush while lifting a heavy truck, yet surprising soft and flexible enough to not damage a vehicle's paint or underside. I measured my jack cup and it was 4 inches on the outside and 3.5 on the inside. This pad is 4 inches and I knew it would be too big to sit inside the cup, (as it shows in the ads pics). I wanted it to sit inside the cup to prevent it from slipping or moving while moving the jack. I just used my mill to remove a 1/4 x 1/2 inch around the outer edge and it fits perfectly in the cup. I did try to cut it with a razor knife to see if that would be an option for someone and yes that too would work. I really like this pad and I plan to retire my 2x4 pine pads. I definitely recommend.
