As described, this set is geared toward small children, but as an adult who is interested in learning how to use watercolor, I found it too fun to pass up.For the kids: It's small (3 1/4" x 7 1/2" and approximately 1/8" thick), lightweight and comes with a fine tip paint brush. All you have to do is swirl a wet brush around on the paint squares and you're off and running. There is more than enough paint with each page to do all the images (and have paint left over). For the adults: the colors are vibrant and do not dry chalky looking. They also mix well. I was able to get a blue-grey by mixing the blue with the skin tone, a beautiful light green by mixing blue and yellow and a lovely orange by mixing red and yellow. It's not watercolor paper, but a thick-ish coated paper that keeps the liquid from soaking in right away. Additionally, It holds up well to scrubbing. I went over some places many times and now that everything is dry, it still feels as smooth as silk. This paper is so nice, in fact, that I would LOVE to see adult coloring books printed on this as there was absolutely NO BLEEDTHROUGH to the back and almost no warping. For the sheet with the grey bear, instead of using the included paint, I decided to try Crayola Watercolor pencils just to see if they would work. The photo with the pencil next to it is what the drawings looked like when I used the watercolor pencil dry on the paper. The other photo is what it looked like after the color was activated with water. Success!!! (And by that I mean, the watercolor pencils worked well on this paper both wet and dry. My watercolor painting skills, however, well . . . let's just say I'll have a lot of fun with this set as I continue to practice and get better.)

This no prep activity set is just perfect for travel. It's lightweight, compact and easy to use. It has lots of different characters and comes with a brush. Definitely a must have to keep kids busy and give them a break from their tablets while traveling. It can also be a fun relaxing activity for adults too. Definitely a great idea.

I wouldn't say this is an on the go activity as it needs water. My 7yo got the animals one and they're pretty cute. Simple drawings to paint that don't take a lot of time, which is great because my kid has 0 attention span! The quality is pretty good and the paints are saturated with color which actually surprised me a bit because they're watercolor. I don't mind the price and for me it beats having pots of paint all over. The poor paint job in the pic is not a reflection of the product, haha. Just my 7yos inability to take her time and finishing it as fast as possible.

So the thing about these is that it’s just one pack with sheets and the color on the side. So initially upon receiving that you think you’re gonna get 12 different ones but it’s actually just one flip book. It does come with a little small paint brushes for each one. Super nice and an easy activity. When traveling with this item, I’m not sure how you’re gonna give your child a little bit of water in order to activate the paint to actually paint the picture. But at home, it was super fun and easy activity. The only thing is we did go through them very quickly. There’s three little tiny drawings on each sheet and After a couple minutes if they want another one and then another one and then another one and then before you know it, the whole pack is gone.

This is such a great paint set for kids! The paints are ready-to-go, on each page and all you need is water. There is very little mess and there is ample paint. My grandkids absolutely loved this and so did I. I highly recommend it!

The listing is misleading, It looks like you get several books but it is only 1 small book. I would value this item at a dollar or two but not $7.

To be clear - this is one book with 12 pages, one paintbrush, each page has a perforated strip with the watercolor paint spots. The list price is currently showing $7 - that is too pricey for this item, IMO. I think $3.5-4.00 would be a better price point, so maybe grab this when they are running a deal. Because this is a fun item/activity. Each page has an outline of 3-4 cartoon animals and enough watercolor paint for that page, assuming you diversify your color usage. I ordered this for myself (adult female) and ended up taking it to my office to share with my coworkers (also adult females) on a slow day. We all enjoyed our little arts and crafts time and proudly displayed our finished paintings. The colors are good quality, the paper is a substantial cardstock. Would definitely order again, if the price is lower.

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. On the one hand, they do what they claim. They're fairly robust and good to have in the car for the kids to paint with. The girls like them and have enjoyed using them.On the other hand, 12 tiny pictures? Hmm. At $5 the price isn't totally out of line but given that our girls can blast through these in 30 minutes to an hour... well, you'll have to determine if that price fits your budget. :)
