I've never had a pizza stone before, so I was not sure what to expect. This pizza stone is excellent for a first time buyer. Firstly, it is excellently packaged. A lot of care was put into making sure it arrives intact. I think this is worth mention because I hate the hassle and extra wait time of returns.I don't do anything fancy. I cook frozen pizzas. I had been doing this on a cookie sheet, and this works fine. The stone, however, produces what I'd call a superior crust. Particularly toward the middle of the pizza where moisture can not escape normally on a metal cookie sheet. There are a couple of things I think I should warn people of, however. One is that this thing is heavy. Trying to handle it with one hand is risky if you're not The Hulk wearing an oven mitt. The rest of us will need two protected hands. The second thing is that this will stain, and that's considered normal. If things must look perfect, this will not be for you. The stone works because it's porous, and stuff aside from water vapor (oil from cheese or toppings, mainly) will fall into those tiny holes and be nigh impossible to clean. Also you can't use soap because presumably it'd get into those pores and make your food taste like soap after that.If you want to level up your pizza crust from being a bit soggy, a pizza stone can be a good investment, and this one feels like a good quality product made by a company that cares to get things just right.

I procured this unit based on the non-stick and easy clean feature. As far as I can see it behaves no different than a standard pizza stone. For that reason, only 3 stars as I feel I was mislead. Furthermore, I think it would be best to be dedicated for bread and pastries vs having it as a pizza stone. Pizza will get cheese burnt on it and the dough tends to stick (at least for store-bought frozen pizzas). With that in mind, a round profile would be better.Using the wire holder is nice in that the pizza stays warm and crispy on the stone. The literature online says:NON-STICK BAKING: Say goodbye to burnt bottoms and uneven cooking. For homemade pizzas or heating up frozen ones, our cooking stones ensure even heat distribution for perfectly cooked pizzas and breads every time. Plus, cleaning up the stone baking sheet is a breeze with our easy-to-follow instructions.Plus the image shows a spotless clean stone, while the instructions enclosed (see attached image) note that the stone will get stained. Also, if you look online on YouTube, you'll see that you will need a wire brush and a scraper to get the stuck-on cheese and dough. I did use that method as well a final cleaning of water and baking soda made into a paste. I also used a sponge with an abrasive back to apply the paste (sponge was never used and had no soap on it - will dedicate it to be used only cleaning the stone).

This is the perfect gift. It’s excellent for homemade pizza and bread baking. The pizza peel is high quality and it comes with a dough slicer which is awesome. You can gift this for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, housewarmings, or the holidays

A good sized pizza stone that browns the bottom nicely. Conducts heat as you'd expect. For those that say to flour the stone, that will just burn. Just lightly flour your peel before you slide it under the pressed dough, then shake the peel from side to side to remove the excess. Then slide carefully onto your stone.I wouldn't recommend pizzas larger than 10" due to the size of the stone, but it's fine for anything under that size.

This is a really nice pizza stone. I already have a round one that is well worn. I used both this stone and my old one to make 2 pizzas. I made a round pizza about 15” or slightly larger which is my usual and it was too big for this stone since it is rectangular. I had to make a different shape on the second one to fit this stone, but that doesn’t affect the taste! They were delicious. My oven goes to 500 and the stone worked out well (be sure to put it in before and let it heat). The next day, after complete cooling it cleaned up perfectly brushing it with a very small amount of plain water. Mine did not come with a peel, but that is fine, I have both metal and wood peels and I prefer a metal one. I got a nice one here on Amazon that the handle unscrews for easy storing. I used a small amount of corn meal so that it would move around easily. It also comes with a dough tool and a metal rack that you can put it on. I did not use the rack but I can see it being helpful in certain situations. I did not use the dough tool either, but I have them and have used them in the past, especially for sourdough bread. You can scan a QR code for recipes, but when I did I found that you have to send them your email address to get them. I did not because I have my own recipes and I don’t give out my email randomly. Overall a very nice stone and I would recommend it.
