I have a couple sets of these with different tools dedicated to each little box. So much less time wasted digging for the right punch, screw, deck screw, or whatever. I've tried the little plastic bins with pull out drawers. I like these tackle boxes a lot better. I will be purchasing more.

I'm a toy collector, mostly action figures but also Legos and similar building kit toys. Most collector figures these days come with numerous accessories and accoutrements and finding storage space for them that is also organized can be tough.This storage system is the perfect size for my needs. Having 4 separate containers let me organize my accessories into categories and types easily. The totes are sturdy and feel very solid when you snap them closed. There is very little room between the lid and the box when it is closed, so even placing it vertically in the container shelf doesn't knock the contents around much at all.The totes come with plenty of dividers which allow you to customize the size of each section of the tote to your needs. I had far more such dividers than I needed but it's good to have spares.My only complaint is that the outer orange storage box/shelf has very pointy corners. I accidentally kicked and ran my shin into it several times and it hurt like hell. So make sure it's out of foot traffic where you store it, or wrap the corners in cloth or something.

I have 3 Plano toolboxes and about 18 or so Plano Stowaway boxes. I'm very pleased with them. I got one of these Stowaway wall cabinets as a sample before buying more and while it's pretty much the best solution for its price out there, it's not up to Plano's usual standards. It's complicated since I plan to buy a few more anyway, again because there aren't many of these out there for around $35, it's more like $200-350 for a big metal ones, which are nice but not quite right for the home hobbyist. Some of the listings for these mention some kind of pegboard. There wasn't one but it didn't make sense anyway to put a cabinet on a pegboard that was only the size of the cabinet.Pro's:1) Price--I couldn't find a solution like it for anything close. That's very important because I'm going to tell you some Cons but I'm buying more anyway.2) Inside containers--they're Plano's regular sturdy Stowaway line. I've bought these for decades. Never had one break or for that matter misbehave in any way.3) Wall-mounting and stackable. I'm hoping, actually, that next to each other they will help support each other.Con's:1) Not enough dividers. I called them and they wouldn't give me enough dividers unless I paid for some of them. "It comes with 20." I told them I needed them for 5 of these, meaning 20 Stowaways missing 24 dividers each, which means 480. They wanted money. So I asked how many could I have for free? We agreed I could have 140 for free. All I can say to that is "DUH". I couldn't resist so I asked the guy if I could just call three times and get 420 of them but he said they would know it was to the same address. I'd be glad to fax a receipt though if asked, that would be fair, but what else would I be doing with the 340 more I would have had to pay for except using them in Stowaways? Of course I'll return the favor by just having some friends call and get some more, DUH. Just a nuisance though.2) The cabinet part is flimsy. It bends easily, I'm going to punch some extra holes in it when I fasten it to the wall. It had a white mark where it bent a little during shipping--hardly of concern to me since it's going into a dirty workshop but it might matter to you.3) It's true that small washers or buttons or resistor leads can go under the dividers. That however is true of the entire Stowaway line and has been for years. What I do is just have my son glue them in for any that will hold tiny parts. It's harmless because the very tiny parts drawer isn't going to get the dividers moved around anyhow. In fact I've moved some for bigger parts maybe once a year in 25 years of using their products so that hasn't been a concern.Bottom line: I'd rather pay $5 or $10 more for a sturdier casing. But this is the best solution I could find for the price, and it's adequate for home hobby use, so I will be buying the planned 4 more anyway.

Plano cases are great. Good prices, good storage capacity, high quality construction. I have mine mounted to the wall near my desk and it holds all my office supplies and a lot more.My only complaint with this case is the awful color. Maybe this color is acceptable in the garage, but I wanted to keep my inside. Storage devices are not meant to stand out like a sore thumb, and my decor does not match nicely with bright red. I ended up painting my black, and now it looks great. I used a spray paint from the hardware store (Krylon Fusion for Plastic).Unfortunately, it looks like Plano is no longer making this product. I hope they bring it back with a better color selection.I gave this five stars because functionally and in build quality, it's great. I assume if someone buys this they already know what color it is going to be.

Let's just say I am not OCD, but pretty close. There is a place for everything, and everything has a place. I have everything from my tools, my frig, cupboard and yes....my sock drawer. I have MANY cases for just about everything...from tools to guns. I have a case just for all my MANY glues and one for all my tapes. It goes on...but trust me...I know my organization and I know storage. With that, if you are looking for quality, adjustable , versatile, portable, customizable small part storage...then you will love this unit. I currently have dozens of Plano storage units...from guns, jumper cables, first aid kits and more. Plano is a great choice (if the piece meets your needs). Regardless of some reviews I read indicating that the compartments were too small for some parts...well (no disrespect, but...)HELLO...it is what it is. Choose a bigger unit if you need more space. This particular design/configuration (regardless of what I use it for), is for organization of small parts. I ALWAYS organize by theme. I'll give you a couple of examples of `what' I used this particular unit for. One tray is my greatest hits collection of rubber, cork, felt and plastic feet/grips. From this, you can envision what I use the others for. My recommendation ? If the size works for you, don't worry about anything else...it's a great product and a GREAT deal!
