My lettuce plants are thriving under this row cover. First it protected them from frost, now it protects them from too much heat radiating off south-facing windows that are in front of their garden bed. It is thick enough to use while also being able to be penetrated by garden stakes. This is my first time using a row cover and I would say this one works just fine.

These covers have repeatedly protected my tender tropical plants when Mother Nature has sent us some very cold weather. I highly recommend these for anyone hoping to have a cover you can leave for days and the plants still get the sun they need.

This cover is much thicker than the others, providing more protection from very cold temperatures.

This plant cover is works well for the freezes we've been having. Nice and large and provides excellent coverage.

As expected with light mesh material, it took a bit of effort to untangle and stretch out of the package. Once that was done, I draped it over a row of vegetables in my yard to keep birds and aphids away from the lettuce. I secured the edges with stakes, ensuring it was taut enough to stay in place but not overly tight to withstand the wind. Its long-term durability is yet to be tested, especially against weather conditions or prolonged sun exposure. However, straight out of the box, it seems suitable for at least one growing season. The generous length and width allowed me to cover multiple planters with ease.

I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to find this at Home Depot and similar stores. Nobody seems to know what I mean when I’ve asked for garden frost covers anymore! So I was really happy to find this. I don’t need it just yet, but know I will for our usual late spring frosts after I’ve put the tomatoes in the ground and suddenly need to cover them. In the past I’ve had to resort to plastic sheets and bed sheets, neither of which are ideal and sometimes not effective. This is exactly the stuff I wanted. Seems like good quality and you get quite a lot of it, enough to cover a long garden bed, or more if you don’t double it up. You could also use it to cover your beds overwinter so the soil stays warmer for early spring planting. I’m saving mine for that late spring frost. We’ll see how well it holds up. Seems like it should. (Also great price for the amount of coverage!)

This has been a heavier than normal winter in our area. We have 15” of snow on the ground, making for some very hungry deer. We have a low shrub all the way across the front of our 12 foot living room window. We had originally wrapped the 10 foot long by 3 food wide and 30” tall shrub in burlap to keep the deer from eating it. They came in at night, tore the burlap off and began having themselves a buffet. Two taller shrubs had also been wrapped and the deer had come in, tore the burlap off and rather significantly “trimmed” them too! We’re HOPING that this rather large piece of plant covering once secured will help to discourage them from making this a regular meal stop. If not, next year out comes the snow fencing.
