One of the yard/gardening jobs that was always a challenge for me was tying up unruly branches -- especially on prickly plants like our Bougainvilleas, which are beautiful, but disorderly. I was skeptical about this tying machine -- could anything really solve the problem of tying difficult branches? I discovered that this machine could do the job. I was surprised, impressed and pleased. It took me a while to get the hang of it, and I'm learning that the more I use it, the better I do. My only complaint is that it's a little cumbersome for a person like me, who doesn't have a lot of arm strength. So I'm careful not to overdo. But it's worth it to have nice looking, groomed plants in the yard.

So easy to load tape and use for trellising the vining veggies in the garden. I've also used it to label trees and bushes like Rose of Sharon to mark bloom color so that once the season is over and I move the plants I'll be able to tell varieties apart. Plus it's just more fun than the taping plants by hand.

Once I got the hang of this, it was super easy to use. Now that I've been using it for a while, I find myself wondering where this invention has been my whole life. Using it to secure fruit and vegetables (particularly tomatoes and peppers) to our cattle panel trellis solution. It works beautifully and is simple to reload with staples and tape.

This plant tying machine has so many other uses beyond plant tying! It comes with staples and lots of rolls of different colored ribbons. One ribbon is already installed but you’ll need to install the staples, which is easy by pressing a lever below the handle/trigger.Once that’s done, press the handle once to capture the ribbon, then push the stem, cable, wiring, conduit, etc into the ribbon so it hopes into the large opening with the ribbon. Then press the handle again, this time it’ll press more deeply, and it’ll staple and cut the ribbon, forming a nice loop around the item.It cannot be used for tight looping - the ribbon loop will always be loose - but with different colors and a strong connection these can be used for all sorts of things to identify and bundle items together loosely.I didn’t have any trouble with it - it worked the first time and every time I tried it.The staples are tiny but they are metal so you won’t want to use these where metal isn’t allowed such as food processing lines, but they will rust away and give iron to the soil after a few seasons and they are so small I’m not worried about tires or shoes or even bare feet. They always come out well stapled so there is no sharp end.

I bought this for my wife for her gardening. She loves it!!!! She uses it on all her tomato stakes, cucumbers, squash, eggplant and they hold the plants without putting pressure on the plant. Great support and we are not even finished with the first roll so it will definitely last us through the growing season. Great product and easy to use!!!!!

When I saw this Tapetool, I had to try it! I have over 20 tomato plants and equally as many peppers, not to mention all my other veggies. I have seen this type of garden tying tool in the past but never bought it. I want to tell you this really works and makes very quick work of tying your veggies to their stakes or supports. It takes a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but once you do, you are about to find out why this makes light work of a normally, time consuming garden project. This Tapetool comes with ample tape and staples to get you started. It also includes an extra cutting blade which was nice. It is also already pre threaded with tape and staples, so I advise you to at least look at how they are each laid out inside the tool for easy loading later on when needed. I absolutely love this Tapetool and I am so glad I got it. I highly recommend it if you or anyone you know is a gardener!Update 8/2024 - Just an FYI, if you find your tapetool gun is not working, check to make sure you do not have a staple jam in the front of the stapler. You may not be able to see it easily, so pull back the staple arm, remove the staples, and look carefully. I pulled out my jam with a scissor tip, reloaded and it works beautifully. I still love my tapetool and still HIGHLY recommend it!

This little gadget is the garden tool I never knew I needed but LOVE! Makes tying up plants a lot faster. Works great for tomatoes and peas. It comes with a lot of "tape" (not sticky tape, plastic "tape"), in blue, red, and green. Not sure why I'd ever use the blue or red over the green though, but I guess it's extras to have. Comes with tape and staples installed - BUT mine came with a staple jammed so it wasn't working at first. After I dislodged the jammed staple, it's been working great. So if you have an issue, check for jammed staples!
