Be advised that this amazing "Hitch Cover" arrives in three (3) sections and requires simple assembly with a small philips screw driver. The completed cover fits either a standard 2" or 1-1/2" Hitch Receiver. However, the dilemma I experienced is that the four (4) threaded fasteners included are a tad too short and NOT compatible with the provided lock washers which prevented all four fasteners from tightening. So I ditched the lock washers and used a "threadlocker glue" to secure the two aluminum cage halves to the backside of the cast metal cover plate. Attention all Goobaru drivers, please Stop Tailgating me!

I bought this in 2017 after my purchase of a new truck. as a kid my grandfather had Yosemite Sam mud flaps on his truck and I wanted a way to have a tribute to my grandfather. This hitch cover was the perfect idea. This has been on my truck faithfully everyday, except for days I was moving and needed to actually tow. The paint is still solid and bight, the black on the metal has faded some but is still black, I live in Florida so it gets beat by the sun a lot and my truck has always been an outdoor parked vehicle.I would tell people with absolute confidence this is a quality product that has held up for me.

Item came as stated and on time.Very easy to assemble came with 4 screws with lock washers but must use the correct screwdriver to assemble. Very colourful and well made, would make an excellent gift.Very please with this item

Appearance is perfect, and feels very durable. No problem with the screws like some reviewers. However...Sam's hat doesn't allow for the hitch cover to insert fully into the receiver on our 2019 Chevy Colorado. Bummer because it was supposed to be a birthday gift for my hubby, and he was happy when I gave it to him, except that now it has to be returned 😥

Even though I am supposedly grown up, I have always liked Yosemite Sam. This is a nice, colorful hitch cover. It gives a little message to tailgaters. I will probably take it off before winter, I'm sure if the very colorful paint will hold up. It's built well, not a cheap piece of junk like a couple other that I have bought.
