not worth the money. Glass doors are heavy and the pin that holds the screen doors in place broke immediately. Will return

This fireplace insert works as designed. We've been very pleased with this purchase. The look of it and isolating the fireplace logs/rocks inside.

After having our interior freshly painted and our fireplace white washed, we ordered this beautiful door to replace our 30+ year old brass insert. It was relatively easy to install. One of the handles would not tighten (stripped threads?) so I emailed the company and they sent a new pair of handles within the week. Great customer service. Very happy with this purchase.

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful set of fireplace doors. They are sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. We received the doors on October 2, 2022. Our problem was that one of the handles was not drilled properly and would not attach to the door. We immediately contacted customer service and were told that the part was back ordered until the beginning of December- two full months after the purchase. When we contacted the company on December 15, we were told that the part was still on back order and would not be available until the end of January- four months after the original purchase. This is unacceptable. When we attempted to return the unit, we found that the return window closed at the beginning of November which was before we knew we couldn’t get the part. So now we have a product that has not functioned properly since the beginning of October, and at this rate, who knows when it will be usable. It is a shame because this is a very nice product otherwise.

Having an open fireplace was very atmospheric yet even though we used a large screen we were nervous about sparks. Plus the screen was awkward. Considered insert with blowers but didn’t like the price. After a lot of searching we decided to purchase these doors with screen doors and we are very happy we did this. The doors allow us to close ofF the slight, cool down flow from the chimney when not in use. My husband was able to have them installed within a very short time. The solid black looks great against the brick. Very happy with shipping. Very, very happy with the doors.

I installed this myself nearly 4 months ago and it has held up beautifully. The finish is very durable and what really surprised me was how clean it has stayed. The satin black finish resists oily finger prints and smudges incredibly well. Its thick sheet metal construction keeps it dent-free. This is where I was expecting to see compromise but I was delighted to find that the metal frame was actually thicker and better constructed than my original 1960's fireplace doors. No dents or scratches have been found - even after I caught my 2 toddlers using it as their make-shift magnet game board (no fire was burning, of course!)The glass doors open and close nicely. There are magnetic catches on both the glass and the screen doors. The doors close with confidence and the magnets hold strong. They put the perfect 'strength' magnet in this unit - an adult can easily access the fireplace but it's still very difficult for toddlers and small children to get in there. The only issue I ran into was with the installation hardware. The upper mounting brackets could not extend enough to clamp around the inside of my fireplace. I have an old house so I wouldn't be surprised if the provided hardware was perfectly adequate for 95% of consumers' fireplaces.I was able to work around the issue by modifying some of the hardware from my old fireplace doors.Total time to install was just under an hour. If I didn't have to customize the brackets, it would probably have only taken me 30-45 minutes. Some answers to questions that I had before ordering:1.) There are two rigid screen doors that swing out after the glass windows. They don't open quite as far as the glass doors but they do not get in the way. It is possible to remove them if one desired to do so.2.) The unit came with a roll of insulation to go around the perimeter of the fireplace. It is long enough but is not thick enough to fill the entire frame. I'd recommend ordering another roll or picking some up at the store to supplement.3.) The tinted glass is a shade of black, not brown or tan or anything that makes it obvious. The tint does not take anything away from a roaring fire; it just hides the mess inside when there is no fire is burning.

bought this to modernize my fireplace when my remodelers were refacing the brick surround with stone veneer. Unit is pretty heavy and has some height adjustability with a removable bottom section. mesh doors and heavy glass doors with a closable vent on the bottom. doors are held shut by magents. my screen doors were a bit warped but i was able to bend them back to shape pretty easily. seals nicely and keeps the cold air from the chimney out when closed. I had the same unit at my old house and it held up well for 10 years. was starting to get some bubbling/rusting of the metal frame on the inside from moisture from the fireplace but it still looked perfect on the outside. Would and did buy again.
