Unfortunately, this arrived damaged and had to be sent back. The material feels like cheap plastic and like it might have been ok for a decoration but not something I would trust with any weight to it.

I expected more from Plow and Hearth. I no actually returned this bench because the ‘wood grain’ looked so fake. I’m surprised at what they considered a passable imitation of wood.

Bench is well engineered. Much much lighter than a solid recycled PVC product I am familiar with and likely just as strong. Time will tell if it will hold up to heat of Florida sun light. I am sure the hardware will quickly rust in a coastal environment, so I replaced all nuts bolts washers with stainless steel.

When I purchased two sets of this bench i thought they were a touch pricey - but were exactly the look I was going for. After receiving and putting them together I still thought they were really great looking. But after sitting on them I changed my mind completely - they are VERY uncomfortable and a little more petite in actual size then I expected them to be. I put them around my fire pit but I can't sit too long because of the PITA they are. Wish I could return them - but once you put them together..... They are sturdy and looks like they will last a long time. The PITA might be from my size (height - 6'-3") - maybe for shorter people they/it will be to their liking.

It’s an honorary bench that looks nice.

This bench is a perfect fit for the area I had picked out for it. The wood color was what I needed to blend in with other outdoor furniture. Assembly is pretty simple, but takes a little time and easier with two people. A couple of suggestions, be careful when inserting the end caps on the metal slats, don't want to damage the vinyl covering. You will definitely appreciate having a 10mm small drive socket, ratchet and extension. Also, a 10mm Box end wrench. After you complete putting in the nuts and bolts by hand, these tools will come in handy in accessible areas, and a couple of tight spots. Once finished, sit back and enjoy.
