Great concept but plunger to expose claw is impossible to push. I bruised my hand trying to get something of my shower drain.

I have small children and they use small toothbrushes. We don't have a stopper for our sink drain in the family bathroom and last night, my daughter's small toothbrush fell down the drain. I tried everything I could think of to get it out. After half an hour of trying, I thought to myself, Amazon seems to have everything you can think of- I wonder if they have a tiny grabber for situations like this. Sure enough, I found this little gadget and ordered it around 9 pm. It came in the next day (today) and within a minute, I was able to retrieve the toothbrush along with another toothbrush that I didn't even know was down there! What a handy device! The toothbrushes are of course plastic so I appreciate the little metal claw that comes out and firmly holds onto whatever object you need to save. It has a firm grip that doesn't let go. If that ever happens again, I now have this to come to the rescue :)

I purchased this item on April 30th, 2023. It fell apart on May 29th, 2024 after being used 2 or 3 times over that period of time. I don't expect an item of this caliber to last forever, but I do expect to get at least a satisfactory lifespan. The wire that is connected to the plunger simply slipped out of the crimped plunger end. There's no crimp or loop to keep it from letting go. I was fairly pleased with this product while it lasted. It grabbed hair clumps out of the clogged drain quite well. One of the claws bent on the first use but it still worked well. I wouldn't buy this product again.

This item broke upon first use . I had used a similar item for years and it never broke. Using this item in the same way, the claw broke on the first use . I can’t find anyway to return this item since we didn’t use it until after the 30 day window .

I've got a 5 year old who used to put things in the sink and toilet. God knows how long these have been lingering in the drain. I ordered this when I began to notice after I left my bowl of hair dye and bleach chemicals in the sink, then got out of the shower, I saw inflated dead black maggots covering the sink bowl. That's when I was hinted to buy this! I found 5 makeup brushes, 2 eye liners, and a clump of my husband's facial hair beneath it all covered in dead maggots (Thx to the bleach). Now I have a clear clean view of our drain, tested the water quality coming from the faucet, everything's great!

This works great if you can get it down your drain, if you have the 4 T drain this most likely will not fit, it was too wide for one of mine but fit in the other. They need to make it a little thinner. This is a fabulous idea!works great when it does fit.

The pusher takes both hands to depress to open the claw, and the width of the tip is wider than I’d expected; doesn’t fit in sink or tub drains that are fitted with the x or t shaped guards. It is what it looks like, it’s just not terribly useful sadly. No problem with the company, though.
