I bought two... One for home and one for work. The one at home works as it should. The other, not so much. After using it only 3-4 times it started sticking when I release it and not letting the paper go. Then it started to just put a hole in the paper, not attach it to the back side in the little slit like it should, and still not releasing the paper.I'm giving 3 stars because for the one that works well, I would give 5. For the one that doesn't work good - I would give the lowest score of 1 because it's useless to me if it doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

We were looking to find a 'stapler without staples' that impressed into the papers something that looked like a waffle pattern. Less than an inch in size. This one punched a whole and folded back a bit of the papers. Not as strong and not as desirable. This needs a picture of how the stapler will do the job.

My stapleless stapler keeps my pages together while in the field. It's a game changer. It's great price, functions well, and even hides the clippings.

I love that it doesn't use staples and is a fairly sturdy hold, within reason. It's very light. It works through normal paper as well as receipt paper. I've done up to 3 papers no problem. If you don't need a more permanent hold, it's wonderful. I use it at work because most customers just throw their receipts away once they're home anyhow. No more worrying about running staples through a shredder, less waste on the environment, and cute (but limited) color range. But I still will use a "real" stapler if I think the customer will keep it or for important papers. My only 2 complaints are that it isn't too deep, so you can't position the hole with much flexibility. You have to push it in as far as it will go or you run the risk of it punching through the top. The other is that the bottom slips out fairly often if not holding it right. Imagine the battery section on your remote slides off too easy. It's like that.I did buy another one for myself for at home, so don't be dismayed by the cons! Just be aware is all.

This is a hit in my classroom. I love the fact that it doesn’t require staples so it’s environmentally friendly and money-saving. Keep in mind when purchasing that papers can come undone if handled roughly since it’s just weaving papers together, but for the most part papers stay together if handled properly. I’ll be buying another one soon!

I work in a field where occasionally we have to send letters to individuals in secure settings, which means we aren't allowed to staple letters we send to them; you'd be surprised how damaging something as simple as a staple could be in the wrong hands. The perfectionist in me always hoped there was a way to send these documents (usually ~3-4 pages) without risking the individual later getting the documents out of order. This does the trick perfectly! It does leave a small hole, about the size of a grain of rice, in the document -- but that's okay, even when using .5 inch margins. Plus, the documents we send out are more procedural in nature and not necessarily meant to be kept forever, so this is perfect for that.If this sounds like something that fits your needs *and/or* you want to save on staples, definitely get one of these.

It takes a bit of practice to get the tab to attach correctly (always push the paper all the way back!), but it works great for my notes that will be scanned later - I can keep papers together for the short run, but then I don't have to wrangle the staple remover when I'm ready to pull them apart. Perfect for what I needed it for.I will say, the bond isn't as permanent as a staple, and it's got about a 5 page limit, so don't throw away the stapler completely.

This is the first stapleless stapler I've purchased. I work in an alternative classroom that does not allow staples, for safety reasons. This stapler does a great job even months after purchase and daily use. Although the stapler does have a tray, I've found that the stapler does not cut any paper out of the bundle -- I've never had to empty the tray. The mechanism works as if it was a regular stapler -- one punch cuts and folds. Now, for longevity -- this tool has withstood heavy abuse, from heavy daily use to students "experimenting" with it. When a student got their hands on it and somehow jammed the mechanism, I was able to clear the jam from under the mechanism with little trouble without taking it apart. It's still working, maybe better than ever, months after I originally got it. I've found that 6-7 pages is the limit for this tool. Any more, and the stapler is not able to fold the paper into itself.I am very pleased with this stapleless stapler!

I taught public high school for 17 years and would have LOVED this nifty gizmo on my desk! No more staples, no more students putting in 10 staples to be funny, no more pounding to get the staples to go through the paper! This product is not only fun, but functional! It does cut a small hole in the corner of the paper, but you never have to buy staples and it will go through a shredder with out a slight hiccough! I have recommended it to ALL of my teacher-friends! It's lightweight, fits nicely in your hand, and is easy to use.
