Reviewing the Polaroid camera with 2 stacks of film kit (16 shots total). This emulates nostalgia very well. I love the feel of the camera, and it really harkens back to using Polaroids back in the day for me. Really the only major difference is the camera looks new (all the old cameras I had were hand me downs from family or siblings). Another difference is this camera has a USB-C port on the side to charge the battery. The battery is suppose to last for 15 packs, or nearly 120 pictures so that's kind of cool. Outside the USB-C, there isn't many other modern amenities, it just feels like a snappier more capable analog polaroid camera, which is great.Because it's basically $2 a picture per film, I can't help but wish the camera was like the Fujifilm Instax Evo where you can select the pictures taken you want to print. But that isn't exactly the polaroid way and I'm not going to knock anything off the review for this camera for not having that ability. Polaroid film is pricey, so get ready to swallow that bitter pill.Build wise, it feels like the old cameras. It's a plastic body, the buttons have a good feel to them, the ergonomics have that classic feel. It works as expected. If there was something different, it felt like the development time of the current batch of film was a LOT longer than the old Polaroids. It took like 3~4 minutes for images to properly appear on the film stock. To the point that Andre 3000's line of Shake it like a Polaroid picture was repeating over and over in my head (yes, I know, shaking it doesn't do anything). The overall experience is great and really just recalls using Polaroids in the past for me. By the time I started doing photography in the mid 90's polaroid's weren't as popular as just shooting 35mm, so my memory is more limited to just maybe shooting 80~120 Polaroid shoots between the first time using one until now, so I can't say if there's cryptic hidden techniques that might not be available for this camera that the old ones can do. What this camera does do though is bring back that nostalgia 100% for me.

I love instant photos and being a longtime user of Instax mini and wide products, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on Polaroid for a while. This is the newest generation of Polaroid cameras that’s supposed to provide better exposure controls. Kit comes with the camera, wrist strap, two packs of film and instruction sheet.I still have photos from early 80’s that were shot on Polaroid and it has very nostalgic attachment to them. The film is much larger than the typical Instax films and as such, they’re more expensive. Camera handling remind me of the retro Polaroid cameras although it’s missing the flip-up flash/cover. It’s got built-in rechargeable battery instead on one of the film and it has a digital counter of film left. Newer design is more modern and comes in very cute color schemes.Viewfinder is pretty accurate when shooting at least 4 feet away from the subject, when it’s closer, in my use, it’s more skewed to the left side. Instructions recommend that flash be left on for most scenarios and I left it on even in good light. I still have to experiment and learn but so far, the results have been a bit underwhelming as most of my shots are underexposed. Another thing I noticed is that you should keep the exposed side dark while developing and it takes a long time for the image to develop. Coming from Instax where I have image in a minute or so, these take more than 5 minutes to fully develop. I also found that in 3-5 feet range, AF can be thrown off and set to the wrong focal length resulting in blurry pictures.Overall, I’ll have to experiment more as I love the size of the film and feel of the images. However, the replacement film cost is bit on the high side which limits how much I can afford to experiment until I can get consistent results. If you value unique nostalgic feel from your prints, this may work for you but if you want more consistent result, you should expect to spend some money on film.
