This is my first time using a pole saw, so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I’ll share my honest experience. The kit comes with 9 short poles, and you can add as many as needed to reach the desired length. Assembly was simple, requiring just a few screws to put it together. One thing I found a bit challenging was adjusting the height. Since you need to add or remove sections to change the length, it made trimming at different heights a bit more cumbersome. The pole also doesn’t feel as sturdy as I would have liked when adding more pieces. A telescoping pole might be a more convenient option for quicker adjustments. The poles connect using a plastic sleeve, which works okay but feels flimsy. I’m concerned the plastic might crack over time, especially with regular use.The pruning scissors worked fine for cutting small branches, operating by pulling a nylon rope. However, the rope doesn’t feel very strong, and I’m not sure how long it will last before needing a replacement. As for the saw, it performed well enough. I was able to easily cut through branches up to 4” in diameter, all of which were dead wood.Overall, it’s an okay tool for the price and will work for light to moderate yard work. However, the pole could be sturdier, and a wire cable would probably be a better choice than the nylon rope.
