I spent an embarrassingly long amount of time trying to find a suitable grommet for this custom furniture project and this is what I settled on. This thing is solid as can be and very high quality. Considering how cheap it is I didn't think it was gonna be solid metal and super rigid. The wood worker working on my project asked for me to send him the link to this so he can buy some for himself. The fit was perfect and easy to install, a perfect value, functions as it should and it looks very professional. Would absolutely buy again.

I didn’t end up needing this for my project but kept it anyway. The finish is lovely and the product is heavy and sturdy. If I find I need this hardware in the future, I’m glad I have it.

This is a very nice heavy duty grommet. It actually has 2 pieces and you can remove the inside piece to fit larger plugs through. Very well made and the color/finish is also nice. The installer had no issues installing this into the hole he cut in the desk.

WhenI purchased this, I looked at the specks and ordered a hole saw to match the description. When cutting the hole and placing the grommet in the hole, I found it to be loose fitting. Also the depth of the grommet is low profile. I wish it had been deeper, and slightly larger for a more snug and secure fit. The weight is good, due to it being solid metal. Also I was glad to know that a quarter twist locks the top plate into the grommet, as without that it wouldn't stay in place well. I am using outside on a covered porch to run power under the deck to our grill. So far I am happy, not sure if it'll eventually rust or not.

It was hard to find a premium looking grommet. This one fits the Bill.

Product came as described. I'd say the only issue is the "brush" opening. It is a little tight and will restrict access if you want to run numerous cable/wires through it. I have my PC power cord and monitor power cord going through it and I could probably fit one more similarly sized power cord through and that would be about it. Otherwise a top quality grommet that isn't plastic and looks better because of that fact.Oh yeah. I used a 2 and 3/8's drill hole and it fit fine.

We have a very nice executive style desk in our den however it didn't have a hole to run cables (for monitor and speakers). This piece matched our desk well and drilling was easy using the circular drill bit (sold separately). The only gripe I have, and its a small gripe, is I wish either the diameter of the grommet was slightly bigger, or the drill bit was slightly smaller. Reason being - When I drilled the hole, the grommet simply rested in there. There is a VERY slight wiggle to the grommet. If the grommet was bigger, or hole smaller, it would require just a tad but of pressure to push the grommet in which would make for a nice tight fit that would prevent the wiggle or having the grommet rotate if a cord was pulled. But still...this is one of those things you just install once and probably will never have to touch it again...so it's not a big deal, but doesn't make this 100% perfect...more like 95% perfect.

The desk we purchased didn't have convenient holes for our computer cords, so we decided to drill a hole and insert a grommet. I absolutely love this purchase - it looks as though it came with the desk. The first thing we like about it is that it is two pieces. When we were looking at desks to purchase, the salesman highly suggested a two piece grommet because it protects the exposed wood under the grommet. Though, in theory, you shouldn't have to take the grommet in and out very often, when you do having it as two pieces means that the piece that stays in the actual hole takes the wear and tear instead of the wood. The second thing we like is that the grommet is metal. We purchased a plastic one and immediately sent it back because in our expensive desk, it just looked cheap. This grommet is sturdy and looks great. I highly recommend. Though we don't have any plans to drill more holes into our furniture (smile!), if we do, I know which grommet I will buy!
