The Polycom VVX 401 itself is a solid product. It’s well-built, has great call quality, and offers plenty of features for a business phone system. However, my experience with the purchase was a bit rocky.First off, the seller forgot to include the AC cord. Luckily, I had a spare on hand, but it was an unnecessary hassle. When I reached out about it, the follow-up wasn’t great, which was frustrating. On top of that, the phone arrived locked and required a hard reset before I could even use it. The reset process wasn’t straightforward—definitely not something a casual user could handle easily. It took quite a bit of digging and patience to get it up and running.Once I got past these issues, the phone has been working flawlessly. It’s a great product, but the initial setup and seller mishaps left me feeling a bit sour. If you’re considering buying, just be prepared for some potential challenges right out of the box.

I called comcast thinking it was their problem and is not, I called my electrician thinking it was his fault and it's not. The problem is the phone, it doesn't work.

Above expectation for the quality of the refurbished products. The package comes in neat and organized with padded. For those who need this type of phone, you dont really need to bother to buy new one but this will do as like as new. I definitely will buy more from this vendor

I bought this phone to replace an older VoIP phone in my home office. Among other things I needed extra line occurrences and this phone provides 12. Oveall this phone looked to be a good value for the price.I've not been disappointed. For the end user, it is easy and intuitive to use. The menus are easy to follow and understand. Call quality is excellent. The device looks attractive on the desktop. What surprised me (as a geeky guy) is how extensive the various technical customization options are under the covers. In my experience, most VoIP phones are fairly easy to program and set up - and this one is, too, once one gets the hang of it. But some of the nomenclature of the various options on the set-up screens was a bit different than what I've seen with other vendors, so it took a bit of time to figure out what was what. But once that was done, set up was quick and easy. I use 3 different VoIP carriers, and one of them had a set-by-step guide for setting up the PolyCom, and everything fell into place after that. The other thing to note is that if you have multiple line occurrances, and if you don't want them to appear sequentially on the phone screen starting at the upper left (#1) and proceeding downward in sequence - for example, if there's one you'd like to have appear separate from the others (for example, lower right), you have to set up dummy occurrances for all of the intervening lines; otherwise that occurrance will not show up. Apparently the phone will only display occurrances starting with Line 1 down to the last line sequentially configured. So if you skip any occurrances, any lines you set up afterward will not appear. Fortunately this is easy to set up - I just use '---' for identifying the dummy line and set each to not attempt to log in, and it works great. The dummy lines appear as '---' on the screen which actually makes for a nice, well organized layout. One other thing. I understand that this phone can be fitted with a wireless adaptor so that a hard ethernet connection isn't needed. I've not tried that (yet) but will be procuring an adaptor to give it a try.Overall this is a very good phone for the money. Very pleased with the purchase.

The phones are good, but part of the "Refurbishing" process should have included resetting the password back to default. At least 12 out of the 15 that I've setup so far didn't have the password reset and I still have 5 more to go.
