This floating tester does what it’s supposed to. Salinity and temperature readings are easy to check, and the solar power is a nice touch. But it can be a little finicky with accuracy if the pool water isn’t totally still, and sometimes the screen visibility isn’t great in direct sunlight. It’s handy, just not super precise, so it’s fine for casual monitoring but not something I’d rely on for exact measurements.

Bought this mainly for the salt test function. Got a reading of 1870 ppm. My pool requires 3500-4500. Immediately went to my local pool store and they tested it. Came back at 3700 ppm. I trust my pool store rather than this junk. Returned the next day.

A somewhat accurate measure of saline ppm. A very accurate measure of water temperature. Longevity of device remains to be seen. Charges ok. I do not leave in pool after getting measurements and rinse with fresh water after use. I do recommend this device.

I’ve had my salt water pool now for 20 years and this digital salt water monitor saves me time. My chlorine generator only tells me if my salinity is low or high. It doesn’t give me exact numbers. I believe its range is from 3000 to 5000 parts per million if I recollect correctly. With this monitor all I have to do is look at it. I do have a test kit that tests for salinity but this thing is so much faster and easier. And it seems to be pretty accurate. Overall, I’m very satisfied and highly recommend this pool monitor for quick at a glance references. In my opinion it doesn’t take the place of testing your water regularly but it makes it so I don’t have to do as many tests or as often. And I also acquired another brand digital water monitor and they seem to be very similar.

So far, so good. The screen is easy to read and the design is sleeker than some. I do wonder how well the unit will withstand the summer heat and bleaching rays of the sun when summer comes.

I like the idea of this. I have had different salt system and early on I learned not to trust their readings. This will be a double check.I am concerned how long this will last in the Arizona heat. Regular temperature readers, similar in design usually only last 2 years.

Tester provides accurate information. Will update if this changes.

Easy to use. It gives you accurate salt level and temperature readings. Temperature readings are in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Once you are done measuring just take it out and wash the tip under running water until you get a zero salt reading. Solar powered no battery needed.
