These are pricey for what they are but probably the last deburring tool you will ever need.I have used these to deburr and slightly countersink quite a few drills in mild steel and it has been working fine in that use case with no noticeable degradation. The torx-like lobed shank is a nice touch but to be honest I have never had issues with standard hex shank attachments 'slipping' or otherwise. It might help if you had a chuck with poor clamping force.

I can't say enough good things about this chamfering kit. I ordered it not expecting to be impressed at all, as I have purchased many in the past and was disappointed after using them once or twice. But I have to say, when it comes to this chamfering kit, I am incredibly satisfied. I have chamfered both stainless steel as well as many other mystery metals using both my handheld drill and my milling machine, and I even used it on the lathe once or twice. It still continues to cut stainless steel like butter. At less than $60.00 for both an external and internal chamfer of this size, I can't recommend it enough. As an added bonus, the display that comes in the box slides right into my toolbox and makes for a very nice, organized place to store the bits. These are very well built, and I believe they will hold their edge for a long time to come. I highly recommend this set if you're shopping for something that will stay with you. Yes, you can pick up cheap internal chamfer for five bucks and an external for five bucks—I have tons of these in my toolbox that are useless. They were good for once or twice on standard 1018 steel and never good for stainless, so save your money on those and purchase this set. I guarantee you will be happy.

These deburring and chamfering tools look well-made and feel solid. They are designed for pipes or holes smaller than 0.94 inches. I have many metal pipes; some are used with the many canopies around my yards; others are posts that I use to attach solar lamps. After being cut, their edges become very sharp and dangerous.I know what “deburr” means; I also know what “bevel” means, but this is the first time that I have come across the word “chamfer.” According to the Cambridge dictionary, to chamfer is to “cut on the edge or corner of something that makes it slope slightly rather than being perfectly square. I thought these deburring and chamfering tools would be good additions to my already humongous collection of tools. They are designed to work on pipes with diameters ranging from 0.08 inch (2 mm) to 0.94 inches (24 mm) for internal deburring and chamfering; for external work, the pipes have to be between 0.24 inch (6 mm) and 0.94 inches (24 mm). I tested them on steel and aluminum pipes, and they seemed to work; however, I could not tell right away how well they were supposed to work since these were my first deburring and chamfering tools. I could tell that the areas being deburred and chamfered looked and felt rough and abrasive. I have inexpensive grinding stone drill bits with rounded tips that deburr much better. According to the Cambridge dictionary, to deburr is “to remove rough or sharp edges from something and make it smooth,” and these tools did not smooth out rough edges. For that reason, I can only give these tools a 2-star rating.

I got this for deburring sections of rebar and threaded rod. Previously I had used an angle grinder or rotated the part against a sanding belt. These tools are much faster. The cone-shaped tool for deburring the inside edge of pipes, tubes and edges of flat or angled sheets works just as well as its sister. These are hardened steel and very well made and finished. They come well protected in a fitted cardboard box. Highly recommended.

I'm having a bit of trouble with this tool, though I confess it may well be me or my expectations. As a deburring tool it's a nice package and the fact that you get both inside and outside tools means that it's useful for cleaning up holes, pipe cuts, or the ends of turnings up to about 1". Absolutely no complaints for that use- and that is the main reason I have it.The problem I have had is that when using it to try to chamfer the ends of rods, I'm getting a lot of chatter and an uneven surface. I've tried it using both a lathe and a handheld drill, at various speeds (50-500 RPM is recommended on the tool), on brass and aluminum, and have not achieved what I would regard as a good chamfered finish. It doesn't seem quite sharp enough to cut cleanly without chatter- there are other tools with carbide blades that may work better for chamfering. I have not yet tried using it in a mill or drill press. I think the chamfer aspect may be oversold.I do like the fluted shaft that holds securely in drill chucks, and the very nice and well designed fitted foam insert holder to put into your tool drawer- why can't more tools come with this sort of thoughtful storage option? Kudos to the packaging designer.I will update this review as I get more experience with the tool.

Back in the day when I was working my way through college, I was an electrician's apprentice.I sure did a ton of deburring. I just used my pliers to ream it out, but I know this would have come in handy having this attached to a nearby drill. Not sure how heavy duty it is, so I cannot give it 5 stars...But for the coin paid, you get your money's worth here. These are at home in the wood shop or the metal shop, or on a job site.Handy to have around.

This is such a useful set if you do any kind of metal work. Awhile back I had to drill holes for a tablesaw fence and this would have been very nice to deburr the inside holes (Ended up using larger drill bit which was less than ideal). This particular set is nice because:- It comes with outside and inside deburring tools- It comes in nice case that fits in drawer very nicely- They are both very well constructed and easy to use- They work across different sizesOverall if you do metal work and needed a nice deburing tool this is a good set.
