I am a paranoid, firefighter and love to have extra tools around my house to protect my friends and family. This is the exact tool that we carry on our fire engine when checking for gas, leaks and other obnoxious situations such as carbon monoxide low oxygen levels and explosive levels within a place. I absolutely trust this monitor, I tried it out with the carbon monoxide detection and it worked flawlessly. It’s very easy to use and the instructions that come with. I was able to test this and measure the concentration of oxygen and it measured appropriately, will see if it works in different settings such as air leaks or high carbon monoxide. Comes in a nice protective carrying csae.

This is pretty easy to use right out of the box. It is well made and feels like a quality product. I used it to check for a gas leak around my stove. It performs well and I am happy I made this purchase. I definitely recommend this.

I primarily purchased the Portable 4 Gas Detector and Monitor Tester to discover the real CO level. I have two home air monitoring devices, and they agree on readings except for CO. One routinely warns that the carbon monoxide level is dangerously high. In contrast, the other reads is that the level is okay. Since carbon monoxide is a silent killer, I was concerned.Unlike my home air monitors, the detector runs on its rechargeable battery. Unlike the home air monitors, it measures very quickly.The shipment arrived quickly, and I was immediately impressed. It arrived in a metal box that also contained its USB charger and cable. The instruction manual was complete and in a readable font size that did not require a magnifying glass.The handheld device is rugged and, of course, portable. After checking the CO in the hour, I used it to check for Ex, gas leaks in my stove and furnace. These leaks are another potentially lethal danger.The detector also monitors the oxygen level (O2) and Hydrogen Sulfide. I hope that I never need to worry about levels of these gases. O2 is oxygen, and we need to have the correct percentage of air to be O2.While the meter will provide the exact percentage of each gas it detects, it also has an important safety feature. You can adjust the max and min levels for each, and when it detects a level outside this range, it sounds its alarm and flashes its warning lights. For the professional, this feature can be life-saving.While the device is designed for the professional, it is also quite handy for hobbyists like me.

My husband tested this out and he said it works fine. He used it at work where he knew the alarm would go off and he said it was pretty much spot on and was loud. Easy to use.

I use to test the gas of my basement. I was getting a weird smell, and I got this to be safe. Good thing there wasn't anything. I put it where was actual H2S and it went off.

I did not like having to calibrate the levels of gases prior to usage. It was not suited for me personally.

I was trying to find a garage natural gas odor source, unit didn't indicate anything. Put it near a gas burner, nothing. Put it in the stream of the gas at High Heat setting but no flame, and finally indicated something. Gas smell stayed in kitchen for 5 mins, but no indication on unit.
