Ok, got it and tried it out. Let's go over some of the items included:- Ability to play all three bands (FM, AM, SW).- 3.5mm Headphone jack.- Ability to act as a bluetooth speaker.- Ability to play MP3s directly from a Micro SD card.- Can be used with pack-in plug, spare USB-C cable, or can be run on batteries.- Pack-in plug is universal, so easily replaced if lost/stolen.- Reminds me of an old radio my family had, only with more features.- Beefy weight. Not as likely to be blown down.- CHEAP!Now, complaints- No display for MP3. Hope you remember your music.- VERY basic MP3 player. It plays, skips tracks back and forth... that's it.- MAX SD card size is 32gb.- As with an old radio, it has one speaker. It's decent sounding, but it would be nice to have stereo sound.- USB-C charging is on top, not back like with the power cable.- Only the power cord is included, nothing else.- Only can order one at a time. I needed 2, so I had to order each one separately. It's a novelty, but despite some drawbacks, can be a fantastic player.

This radio combines a plethora of features into a handy and compact package that is to transport and which won't take up a lot of room on a trip or in your emergency stores. I often listen to music but I have not listened to an accrual radio station in years because I hate all the obnoxious commercials and the equally obnoxious DJs. This radio has Bluetooth that easily connected to my phone. It also always plays music off of a USB thumb drive and the small mini disks. ALL features I like on a daily basis. I like having the option to listen to AM/FM and shortwave in emergencies though for updates on local conditions. That being said, one improvement that I'd like is to have access to the NOAA channels. Plus, this radio retails for less than $30, so you get what you pay for. This radio also has built in batteries, accepts D cell batteries, or will run off of a power cable. Redundant powering methods are highly disable in off grid and grid down situations. So, I consider these features highly advantageous. The instructions state that the built-in batteries are not replaceable, and they have a lifespan of about 150 to 200 cycles, so I think that I will not run the radio on the built-in batteries except in grid down situations. I'm guessing the built-in batteries are probably Ni-Cad ones, which do have shorter life spans than lithium ones. I think most folks will be happy running this radio off of the power cord or off of D cells. I mostly use reachable D cells anyway.I'm not an audiophile by any means. Generally, music is music and I don't expect much from small speakers. I compared the sound quality from this radio to a couple of small dedicated Bluetooth speakers. The mid-range on this sounds fine but it has a noticeable lack of bass and no way to adjust for that. One Bluetooth speaker I have that is one quarter the size of this radio has deeper bass. Not a LOT deeper, but noticeably so. But that speaker doesn't have all the other features this radio has. Online, the description states that this radio is powered by a 110v AC power cord or via a USB C cord. The radio that I received included a 110v AC power cord, not a USB C power cord. Most folks have a USB C cord laying around though. There is one feature that I really do not like about this radio and I CANNOT fathom why it's there. See the picture. There is a small black "button" that is inserted in the back of the radio. When it is inserted, the radio does not work at all. The button is not attached and seems easily lost. I have no idea why this feature is here and why whatever function it serves couldn't have been accomplished with a simple, built-in flap or switch. I'm probably going to drill a small hole in it and twist tie it to the power cord. The instructions do not address the use or necessity of this plug. This is not a serious defect, just one I can't account for. For the price and features of this radio, I consider it a good value and useful in a shop, camping or during grid down events.

So far, so good. Reception is decent to pretty good, but not exceptional--but it's not worse than others--there are just some AM stations that very few radios seem to be able to catch (the only one that seems to be able to catch them consistently is my car radio, which is annoying.) and it's having similar issues, but it's not bad since most other radios have same issues as well. The few quirks that I ran into are 1) the battery/recharging feature has some issues. The manual says the LED should be flashing red while charging. It doesn't. It's just blue when it's plugged in, with no indication whether it's charging. Also, the radio does not turn on if the cable is still plugged in, but if it is not charging. While that's not uncommon, given that it is not obvious that there is a battery at all (given the inconsistencies between the manual and the LED light, for example), it seems very easy to miss the battery-powered aspect completely. 2) The manual says the battery should be good for around 200 recharge cycles and should last for about 4-6 hours on a full charge, depedning on volume. That seems a bit limited--makes it seem like the battery will be done after a year or so of listening to baseball daily. I'll have to see if that is actually true. 3) The USB power does not seem very compatible with a lot of AM stations, at least: a lot of interference with the signal, apparently, when the USB cord is plugged in. Again, not an uncommon issue, but I think the placement of the port might be worsening the problem. All in all, not bad. Not as versatile as hoped for (I was hoping to keep it plugged in via USB all the time to alternate as a bluetooth speaker and radio originally, but that's been scuppered given the interference issues). The description of the battery capability is a bit disappointing, but I'll just have to see how that goes.

Great to have in an emergency situation or for just everyday use. The sound s great and the radio picks up so many stations. It is easy to use and it can be powered and charged in many ways. Very functional. Good size. Not too small or too bulky.
