I picked up this CO2 detector after reading about how carbon dioxide builds up in a house, especially newer homes that much tighter than older ones. After we re-sided our house with new sealant and siding, I wanted to see what our internal CO2 levels are in various places now that I have been working from home since Covid, and especially the bedroom overnight.I set the detector with it resting on an open window sill and saw that it went rock bottom - or 400 - after the reset. I then closed the window and set it off to the side of my desk.I was alarmed by how quickly the levels rose from the 400's to the 800's and even 900's!Opening a window or two brought the levels right back down to the 400's, such as how it is now (second picture).I read that normal home CO2 levels reach up to 1100 so I was reassured that 1) the detector is quite accurate and 2) that this is not an unusual reading.Since then, and as it is summer, I have been leaving my bedroom and office windows open a crack on top which allows the hot air out and fresh air in. My rooms are now all within the Green range: that is under 700.Testing the unit further, if I breath on it steadily the CO2 numbers sky rocket. Bringing it back to fresh air drops it down rapidly.I also tested the temperature and humidity readings against my home thermostat with humidity and a portable thermometer. They are quite good as simple indicators.Overall I give the device a 5 of 5 for function, portability, and - yes - education! I was completely unaware at how high CO2 levels can be in a house. I am now much more conscientious about bringing fresh air in. Given we have 2 wood stoves I will also be watching these levels over the winter.Wish List: I recommend that the manufacturer only show the bar that is currently active. Constantly seeing all three is distracting and you need to look for the one that is blinking.

This device has to be connected to power all the time. Otherwise, the screen gets too dark to see. It also got broken after only a few months.update: The seller sent me a new device after seeing my review. This time, I found that the screen gets dark probably because of the power saving mode. Therefore I only charge this device about every two days. However, this has become a burden to remember. The device could beep in the middle of the night because the power is running low and I forgot to charge it. Other than this annoying beep, I think this device works well. It's very sensitive. The reading goes up fast when I close the door and window and exercise in the closed bedroom. The reading also goes down fast whenever I open all windows in the house. I think this serves the purpose. I just wish the manufacturer would fix the beeping problem. There's really no need to set off the alarm when the power is low.

I attached this to my backpack while traveling recently. Monitoring the air quality in multiple airports, airplanes, shuttles, restaurants and other indoor spaces I discovered that I could actually guess when I should be masking by the consistent readings I was getting. Highly recommended!

Good screen, easily read ppm and others. Kind of hard to set up and calibrate but once done it works good. Main drawback is battery life. Need to recharge every couple of days. It does have a low battery alarm to remind you.

This little CO2 monitor does pretty well for the price. The outdoor level reads correctly within some reasonable error. Indoor levels appear commensurate with ventilation.

The device is well built. It appears rugged enough to be attached to a bag/backpack and brought along during travels (comes w/ a clip). Charging is fast via USB-C.Now for the 4-star elements:Compared to my Aranet4, the accuracy of this CO2 monitor appears to be consistently off by 50-150ppm. I've calibrated outside several times and it's still off compared to two other CO2 devices I compared it to.The alarm setting is frankly badly designed. Unlike the Vitalight, there is no fast/easy way to mute the alarm. The setting to turn off the alarm is at the end of a long chain of key presses (at least 6 long presses). The worst part is that the muted alarm setting resets itself every time the device is powered off.If this issue could be fixed with some kind of firmware update or a newer version of the device, that would really help make this more usable.

The loop on the item is kind of useless, so I use it with another carabineer to put on my purse. BUT the CO2 monitor is great. It gives me readings in the room and then rapidly drops outside. I think it's pretty accurate and honestly very useful to tell me my risk in a situation. I like to bring it to my kids school, gatherings, restaurants and other situations to know the ventilation. I think it's one of many useful tools in helping to mitigate COVID and other airborne risks.
