Used this while traveling to have a little extra peace of mind. Alarm is sensitive, when set and in place, alarm is loud enough to wake you up from another room. Addition door lock is a nice feature and works pretty well. Overall it was nice to have addition protection while traveling.

Great for traveling and staying in hotels! I travel a lot so this was good peace of mind for when I have to stay in a hotel by myself. The alarm is almost scary loud and the door lock worked perfectly. I saw some other reviews say that the door lock didn't work in some doors but I never had that problem. It worked perfectly in the hotel door I tested it on as well as every door in my house (including my front door, garage door, and back door). It was super easy to set up and use and made me sleep a little easier. Definitely buy this product!

I had a break in at my newly rented townhouse in NJ where the door was broke opened. Nothing was stolen since I had not placed any valuables in the house, but was quite scary. I normally place a stop bar under the door knob inclined to the floor and it usually works nicely. I decided to add this wedge as well. The sound is ear-piercing and loud. It is sufficient to deter intruders and also alarming the neighbors and residents. It's a simple device built with quality, certainly prevents opening the door since the base is non skid, which doesn't allow the wedge to slide. The top is a plate made of steel, which gets pushed down thus pushing the button under the plate, which makes the alarm to trigger. The device needs a 9v battery. And the device can be turned on and of with sliding button on the side. Easy and useful to setup.The device also came with yet another stopper that has a steel plate that goes between the root and the door jamb, on one of the holes of the lock hatch. The large arrow type device works as a stopper that hangs on the steel plate on one of the triangular holes, that makes the red plastic to hang closer to the door. This device is an additional deterrent and a stopper.

As a mom who often travels alone with one or more of her children to various cities I find these two items give me great peace of mind. The door alarm can be a bit finicky to set up and once was hard to turn off without taking out the batteries, but overall it has been a very worthwhile purchase. The door lock installs in seconds and has stopped someone from entering our room without permission. I believe they will hold up to years of use and am so glad I purchased them.

Thought I should test this door alarm before putting it in my suitcase. It worked the first time, but once the alarm came on, I could never reset the device. Even after taking the battery out, whenever the unit was on, whether it was compressed or not, the alarm sounded. It is a very disturbing alarm, which is the good news, so I gave it 2 stars.

Tested both the door jam and door alarm they do work. Must have for traveling staying in motels or hotels. Makes sure you're safe or know someone is coming in. Very easy to use, functions as it should.

I got this doorstop and lock kit for use on an upcoming trip.The doorstop works well and one can set the sensitivity to reduce false alarms if the door does not latch closed securely and moves a bit when other nearby doors are closed in the hall.I'm not as stoned about the little latch system, since it is a bit clunky to use and did not fit some of the doors I tested it on...The hole where the door latch fits into is more suited for a builder-grade latch shape and may not work on hotel doors with commercial latches.I'll test both pieces on our upcoming trip and post an update.
