Please kindly check the following steps before use.

1. Please make sure the suction hose is in position before use.

Due to the package may being flipped upside down during shipping, the flexible suction hose may be coiled on itself and the filter wedged into some nook in the top of the tank. In this case, pick up one end, and sloshing around, it straightens itself out and the filter falls down on the bottom of the tank. If the pump is running but no fuel comes out, check the suction hose in the same way. It is strongly recommend that check it before use, as the pump running empty for a long time will damage the motor.

2. Please check all the connections and tighten them again before use, as they may become loose during transportation, you can also put some tape on.

3. Please loosen the vent cap when using and tighten it after use. If use it for gasoline, please loosen the valve screw OCCASIONALLY, especially infrequent use or a few days have not been used, otherwise the tank will expand or deform under pressure due to gasoline volatilization and gas will even leak from the joint of the pump.

4. Please do not connect/disconnect the clamps to the battery supply directly while the pump is still running.

There's a ON/OFF switch button on the pump. Make sure the pump is turned off when not use. When you want to use the pump, connect to the car battery first, and then press the 'ON' button. When it is done, press the 'OFF' button first, and then disconnect to the car battery.

The feature that sold me was its dual fuel ability. Additionally the motor and pump move the fuel rapidly shortening the refill time. Most pumps will not have the dual fuel capability, which adds flexibility for either diesel or gas.

This is a cheap Chinese piece of crap. No assembly instructions.Don't waste your money. You're better off with a 55 gallon drum.No fuel guage. They could not make is cheaper or more dangerous.
