Really nice spot welder! Welds 18650 batteries very effiecently. The most portable (Compact) spot welder I've ever used. This welder has a lot of power setting, if you set it too high it will burn right through thinner Nickle strips. I started on a medium setting and left it there. The only issue I've had was that they give you a USB charging cable but no Plug-in charger, seems like they cheaped out on that. I found a simple usb wall plug charger at the Dollar store and added it to the kit.

This battery spot welder performed flawlessly on its first project...a battery pack from my percussion massage gun. With "gear" setting at 3.3 and a comfortable 3 second delay after both probes make contact with strip (not each other), the included nickel strip worked perfectly for every connection in the battery pack...battery end connections as well as connections to the PCB (seen in the pics). Also, the "Jesspow" 18650, 3200mah batteries are performing well. Follow the advice of many seen on u toob videos who say to keep probes at angle to workpiece (roughly 45°), make sure strips are sitting reasonably flat, and only press down with moderate pressure...just enough to keep pieces in place. Position one probe first to get the connection stable the way you want it, then put the second probe in place. The 3 second delay gives plenty of time to get the pressure of both probes about the same. You will be very happy with the results. No doubt, after more experience, you will refine technique to preference. I don't know how much it matters (if at all), but, I did not rush from one zap to the next. Actually did the opposite and gave a moment for workpiece and welder to cool down after each zap. The whole process is actually rather fun and I'm looking forward to saving money on future rebuilding of tool battery packs.

First used this it worked very well. But it seems to have gone down hill some after ten or so uses. Still a good product.

Avoid this! I have struggled to use this. Very inconsistent in performance. Temperature is only displayed in Celsius. Too bad I am past return window.
