Tested it in a room and in a car...really can't tell it's doing anything aside from emitting light and making a faint noise. The lack of a power switch annoys me. Also the directions vs. labelling about filter or no filter as state previously by another reviewer is a dealbreaker. It needs a filter...a proprietary one...also the current filter inside is a loose cylinder with PLENTY OF SPACE on the sides, not snug at all to the fan. Air will just GO AROUND the filter so there's nothing to filter. Why not have that filter cover the whole air vent instead of having loose air all around for the smog to easily travel around the filter freely?Also they keep mentioning this is for cars...I get that, but how do you get it to stand upright? You have to have your car running so you plug it into the USB and it just falls on it's side as soon as you hit the gas then rolls onto the floor. I'm not killing car battery staying idle while this thing runs.Also I want to point out this sentence in the description:"advanced filter-free negative purification technology, which is similar to the nutritional value of food, providing natural oxygen to your car"

The description of the Portable Purple LIght Purifier clearly states: "advanced filter-free negative purification technology, ........while eliminating the need to replace filters, thereby reducing long-term maintenance costs." YET, the directions clearly state " "the longest srvice life of the air purification filter is 2 months. If the service life is too long....Please replace it in a timely manner." There is no information at all as to where we can/must buy the filters (yes there is a thick white size-of-the-unit circular filter inside it as shown in photos. And so this $10 gadget has a life of 2 months only. Can't tell if its doing anything at all and after deciding to get based on description of needing no filter and then reading the directions of the 2 month life of the filter I'm not advising anyone else to buy this. False & misleading information in the description should be removed. Lastly, I just shut off the unit and there is a smell a bit like burning plastic, a chemical, burning hair...can't quite put my finger on it as its a strange unnatural smell. Need to really purify the air now.
