It took a while to figure out how to set it up and a while to figure out how to take it apart for cleaning. Better instructions would be helpful! The eye shield was not helpful. It was opaque plastic…I could not see thru it to see how I was grinding. I ended up going to a glass place and had them cut me a clear piece of glass to use as a shield. I didn’t appreciate the fact that I had to pay additional money to buy the glass shield. The conclusion is, the grinder should have a clear glass or plastic shield.

I am beyond impressed by how nice this is! I didn't know what to expect but I'm so happy I gave it a shot! It came very well packed and secured with no missing pieces or damage whatsoever! The instructions were very user friendly and helpful with a first time user. I'm just getting into this and I feel like this is a wonderful complete kit for beginners! It has all the necessary parts and everything works perfectly! The quality is amazing and it's all very heavy duty and well made! I cannot get over how nice this is! I'm definitely very impressed and I'm thinking about getting one for my sister too who has talked about wanting to start doing this! Definitely a great bang for your buck and this product is worth every penny for sure! Solid 10 out of 10

I recently picked up a gross of various colored stained glass, as well as a kit with all the hand tools necessary to do the work, but I lacked the final piece of the puzzle to get started with my new hobby, a grinder.This is the final piece of my puzzle, and I couldn't be happier. It comes with some nice quality bits which are really easy to change out and which work really well. Lubrication and cooling is provided by a "wet sponge" which works ok, but I may experiment with something to introduce a constant water flow to enhance the life of the bits further.Overall, I'm very happy with this machine. It's completely opened up my stained glass hobby and made it feasible, where before all I could make was jagged, poorly cut pieces. 5 stars.

I ordered this grinder to provide me with a second workstation so I wouldn’t have to change the grinding bit as often. I should have paid more attention to what the product photos and description were NOT telling me. If this wasn’t a Vine product test, I would be returning the product.Yes, I am biased because I love my Gryphon Studio Grinder, but this Buenoarte brand is nothing like the Gryphon model. Let’s start with the splash guard as shown in my photo. Would you like to grind glass while looking through this translucent, not transparent, splash guard? The guard is useless and I have permanently removed it from my unit.Next, let's talk about the included grinding bits. Only two of the four can be used for wet grinding since the smaller bits, when attached, are never flush with the work surface. Even if the smaller bits could be mounted at the proper height, the sponge would not make contact with the bit to keep it cool. And on a related issue, even the largest bit doesn’t maintain contact with the grinding bit, even when wet, because the sponge “holder” is too far back from the bit. But for me, the worst design issue is that the grinding bit has to be removed before you can empty and clean the water reservoir.As I said, I do love my Gryphon which has a clear, adjustable splash guard, a fresh water reservoir and a drain hole and hose to remove the slurry from the work area. Why do I share that information? Because considering the price point of the Buenoarte grinder, I would spend the extra money for the Gryphon unit which has better features and is much quieter. Otherwise, I would recommend that you look at some other models that sell for less money. If I had no other experience with a glass grinder, my opinion probably would be different. You be the judge.
