Works well for a camping toilet, though I still prefer a hole, but if you must, this will help contain the odors and liquids for easier handling and disposal.

We live in the desert west part of the U.S. and go camping at least once a month during the summer. We have tried several types of camping potties and now prefer ones with the deeper pocket requiring a plastic bag and a good, tall commode. Thing is, for this style of potty you have to use plastic bags for your waste, and that really isn't all that fun until you discover poo gel. Adding poo gel to the plastic bag is a game changer.So, when we needed more gel we found this product and gave it a try. It does the trick, and makes it so we can later remove the plastic bag, tie it closed, and dispose of it properly. Unlike what the product photos suggest, I'm not saying you should bury your waste in the woods, but until you can dispose of it properly, this poo gel makes it easy - and less messy - to deal with it. The fact that it is lemon scented doesn't hurt either.

This pool gel is my go-to for camping trips, and it performs just as well as other brands I've tried. However, the price point gave me some pause. At $9.99 for a pack of 10 at the time of review, it felt a bit steep considering the packs aren't any larger than those of other brands. While the quality is undoubtedly there, the value for money is questionable compared to similar products on the market. If price isn't a concern, this pool gel gets the job done, but budget-conscious consumers might want to explore more cost-effective options.

This has worked well on my van trips in a bucket potty. While I haven't looked too closely at the contents, it s an improvement over cat litter if you are disposing of bags frequently, and seems to do a good job of controlling odor. It also takes up far less storage space than other options. Recommend.

We use this in our portable toilet shelter for when we hit up a camp site a bit too far from the communal toilets.It works surprisingly well to mitigate odors, and while I haven't exactly looked too hard to inspect the contents of the portable toilet bag, it does seem to do it's job as advertised.Great stuff when you have a whole family at the camp site.
