There's nothing wrong with this product. When using the bushing method, time and again I find it difficult when the template has sharp curves, especially when the template is narrow. If you're using the bushing method, the bushing must follow the template. If the template isn't pre-made for you, you must compensate for the diameter of the template and the diameter of the router bit to make the template appropriately smaller. The bit must be long enough to safely extend through the bushing's opening, which means that you will not have it all of the way inside the collet. Especially with 1/4" shank bits, that can make the bit easier to move out of the collet, so it needs to be especially tight. When adjusting the bit height, you have to be careful not to have the collet rubbing against the bushing insert. Once you've done all of that, using it is a problem because the bushing is solid metal and you can't see through it to visualize what you're routing! The router can wander or wiggle against the template, causing errors in your work piece. You won't see the damage until you raise the router, at which point it will be too late. When template routing, I find it best to use a bearing bit. It will follow the template around and usually the template will be where you want the actual cut. If you're making a very fine cut, like 1/16", that is best done with a transparent router base (no bushing, of course) and you guide the router by hand using a magnifier head lamp with very good, supplemental lighting. J'avais des doutes car la toupie DWP611 n'est pas de grosseur standard mais le kit fait parfaitement avec l'accessoire Base Plongeante (DNP612).Pas encore utilisé donc je pourrais revoir mon évaluation plus tard.

Great bit, fits my Porter Cable jig perfectly, i got these for my trim router and they have worked really well.I had to machine several of them down though to suit the templates

These fit my porter cable router perfectly. No issues whatsoever. They work as advertised with no concerns. I really like the compartmental box they are in. It makes it easy to keep them organized.

Works very well on the Festool OF1400. Also have a Bosch 1617 router, but its templates are not universal. Porter Cable wins this round. Wish the individual templates had been labeled more clearly. There is a faint mark inside with the item; would prefer clear ID/OD labels. The templates are crudely machined, which is even more obvious when used in the Festool ecosystem, but that’s the Porter-Cable standard for ya. However, they do work, and ultimately that’s what matters.

I was nervous purchasing this jig after reading the reviews. All the comments about impossible setup, and cheap design had me apprised. Alas, all the worry was for nothing. Jig came on time, and in good shape. After 10 minutes reading the directions, and 12 minutes on YouTube, I tore into the box. Another 10 minutes to assemble and setup and I was ready to cut my first dovetails. Going to try my first mini dovetail jewelry box today.Update: this jig is amazing! Perfect dovetails on my first two boxes. Incredibly easy to use!Update:

Many routing procedures require templates and not all templates fit all routers - but the Porter Cable kit fits most, especially using the snap in RA1100 Bosch adaptor. Provided care is taken when tightening the screw ring and the template is regularly checked for loosening during use,these templates can be used with ease. The range covers most sizes needed.
