I really think this is a good looking piece of furniture. The description does mention that this is a distressed looking piece. So it perfectly imperfect on purpose. I wanted the Nostalgia of when I was a little girl and my mother had beautiful antique coat stands. I wanted a stand for the aesthetic not necessarily for functionality. That being said this stand is both. It’s holds my coats and purses while looking beautiful. I will say my stand is a little wobbly but it might be because I bought it used, it was an easy fix and doesn’t really bother me.

I was very excited when I got this item because I have been looking for a nice way to hang my family's coats. Well, half the legs were already cracked and the other half did not fit into the center part correctly. I used the form to order new parts which arrived about three weeks later. We used it just a few months and the center part split in half (we had two toddler coats and two adult coats on it at the time). I had difficulty getting in contact with the company to order a replacement part. I sent several emails. I was about to throw it away (two months later) and the part came in the mail!!! I did not ever get a response from the company via email so this was a shock. The center piece had the same issues. The legs did not fit well and by the time we got all four in, it started to split as well. My advice...skip this product. NOT worth the headache!!!!!!

We love the style and sturdiness of this coat rack. I had been looking for awhile and didn't want one that would tip over and wanted one to go well with a heavy wood bar and stool set that we had just purchased. The only problem is the wooden legs (feet) and post all have several dented areas that are marked with gold paint or marker. Makes us think this was done at the factory. We immediately contacted the company for replacement parts and have received a response that it is on back order until June 24th. We hope that the replacement pieces are not damaged because we do love the looks of this coat rack and if not for the dents and paint would have given it a rating of 5 stars. After receiving replacement parts, they look exactly like the original coat rack we received. We now realize this item is not damaged and the dents and gold tone paint are part of the looks. We still love the coat rack so are changing the rating from 3 to 4 stars. Just wish that they would have not bothered with putting dents with gold highlighting on it. At least it is not very noticeable.

wife really wanted a coat rack -- we looked around stores and everything looked really cheap or did not seem stable enough to use (she wants to hang coats, jackets, purse, bags, etc from it). we started looking online, but everything we saw either looked too modern or too old/boring/plain. eventually found this and it is a great deal! i found it first on some other site for $200 or so and I found it on Amazon closer to $100. the coat rack looks very nice and classy, somewhat vintage yet very functional and useful (it looks just like the picture). it is easy to setup/install -- basically just screwing some pieces together. other reviews hear complain that there are scratches/bad fits/wobbly -- i dont have any of these issues. the legs fit to the base by basically wedging them in and screwing the top on --- at first mine was kind of wobbly and i was disappointed, but I noticed that one of the legs wasn't wedged in all the way (hence wobbly) --- i literally picked it up and "slammed" it on the floor a few good times on its feet and they all wedged in nicely -- no more wobble! i think some of the reviews noting a wobble are probably just setting it up properly. overall a great buy!

The reviews, "regal" look and width dimension decided me on ordering this coat rack. Came well packaged and shipped quickly. Everything needed for assembly was provided although I think the instructions could use some clarification. Assembled without help in about 20 minutes. The coat rack looks exactly as pictured. Color a mid to dark brown. I like that the base is sturdy and compact which makes it ideal for small spaces. The metal hangers are heavy and are antique gold in color. It is heavy, does not wobble, holds my tote bags, coats, and on occasion, my dog's harness and leash. This was exactly what I was looking for and am very satisfied with my purchase.

We looked long and hard for a coat rack after moving to a seasonal climate. Finding a coat rack that met all of our needs (sturdy, won't tip over, attractive, good quality materials, solid construction, etc.) was more difficult than I would have imagined. After a long search and finally finding this one (it fit with our british colonial decor), we ordered. Never disappointed with Amazon, this was no exception. It said 5-7 days but arrived quicker than that. Prime shipping ensured 2 day delivery after processing so I expected it to arrive in about 10 days. It took about 4! Once it arrived, I was pleased with the solid wood pieces and minimal assembly. Once together, it's a good, solid piece and looks attractive. My only concerns are the manufacturer suggests the wood finish will get permanent white spots with prolonged exposure to water (We live in the Northeast and get snow in winter), and the powder-coated brass hooks might suffer as well with the rain and snow covered coats. Other than that, we are very pleased with this piece. It takes up minimal room in our foyer/entry and looks great with our decor!
