I have three herniated discs in my back, chondromalacia in both of my knees, and plantar fasciitis in both of my feet, so walking is a challenge for me. I don't typically venture away from the house, because if pain sets in, it's difficult to get back. Treadmills are so expensive, and take up so much room. This little stepper is nice because it allows me to get some steps in at my own pace, and stop when necessary. The hydraulics on this are super smooth. There's no way to adjust the tension, but I found that adjusting the size of my steps seemed to self adjust this somewhat. The attachable tension bands help with stability, which is important for me, as I have balance issues. The unit is very durable. At 215lbs I wasn't concerned about the structure or the pedals. This is a solid unit. The display offers tracking of time spent using the unit, calories burned, steps taken, and an option to scan through these three every six seconds. This information can be reset by holding the button down. The display has an auto shut off after four minutes of non use. The unit arrives basically assembled, with the exception of sliding on the side feet. Overall I'm impressed with this stepper. This will probably be the one piece of exercise equipment out of the dozens that I have purchased over the years that I will actually continue to use.

If, like me, you're always coming up with reasons why you can't get to the gym, then this is a sweet little tool. You can use it while you watch TV and it is smaller than most exercise devices so you can store it under a desk or behind a chair. It's surprisingly high quality. Heavy duty plastic steps with a good grip that will make you feel more confident as you step on it. And it works out both ends of your body at the same time. I can't say I use it everyday, and I still make excuses, but it definitely makes it easier to work out in spurts all day long, and it's not hard to get your balance and maintain it. Out of all the pieces of equipment for exercising I've had over the years, I'd say this one is most likely to continue to be used and not abandoned like the other dozen or so various devices I have tried.

Very cool exercise machine. Its very compact and heavy duty. It has good resistance bands that come in 3 levels that add to the exercise routine. The foot petals are great and comfortable. The motion of the machine take a bit to get use to, but it seems to be effective so far.

Came almost fully assembled. Easy to put together, but it's afterward that the trouble began. It's embarrassingly hard to move the steps, which makes me think that there should be an internal resistance setting that I should be able to adjust. But the accompanying manual says absolutely nothing about an adjustment knob or the like. So basically I can only step on this thing at a snail's pace and perhaps short of strapping 50lbs to my body, I can't exert sufficient force to move any faster. I imagine that anyone wanting to exercise using this thing the way it is would not notice any benefits from moving at such a pathetically slow rate, save in developing one's patience. Mind you, I do low to moderate intensity workouts nearly every day for 1-2 hours and am fit for my age group. I just wouldn't be able to sustain the motivation to move like this and have zero desire to waste my time on movements so inefficient. For the record, there are knobs under the pedals. I first stepped on the machine to get a baseline. Then I rotated them both to the right a good number of turns, then tested out the stepper, then made double the number of turns to the left and tried the stepper. I couldn't notice a difference. I even tried spraying WD-40 on the parts in desperation, but no change. The resistance bands with carabineers are too long for my height (a few inches shorter than average) to create any tension in the cords. At least I can make use of the other easy/medium/hard resistance bands, which are well made and smell and feel similar (but not the same) to the kind one might obtain from a physical therapist.

I ordered this compact mini stepper to add some extra cardio to my routine whenever I have free time. It’s lightweight, compact, and easy to stow away. Plus, it comes mostly assembled, all you have to do is attach the side stabilizers that grip the floor.I also appreciate that it includes resistance bands for an added arm workout. The stepper itself is solid and effective, though the resistance level isn’t adjustable. That’s not a dealbreaker for me, especially since the instructions recommend using it in 20 minute intervals, which is enough to get a nice little workout. It has a display that shows the time, calories and steps/strides.Overall, I’d recommend this stepper. It’s priced competitively with similar models and delivers a convenient, space saving way to stay active.
